🐾 HELP US BRING THEM WARMTH THIS WINTER – DONATE FROM THE HEART, NO JUDGMENT! 🐾

As the freezing winter months approach, many outdoor dogs in our surrounding counties are facing the bitter cold without any shelter.

The reality is simple: dogs cannot help it if their owners cannot afford a proper shelter.

Times are tough for many families, and at Kentucky Paws Animal Rescue, we believe in stepping up to help our community with open arms and absolutely zero judgment.

Our only goal is to make sure these vulnerable animals stay safe, warm, and protected from the elements.

We are urgently launching a Dog House Donation Drive, and there are multiple ways you can support a dog in need this winter!🏠

HOW YOU CAN DONATE:
Donate a New or Used Dog House:

We need sturdy, weatherproof dog houses of all sizes to distribute directly to families in need.

Donate Funds for New Housing:
If you don't have a physical dog house to give but still want to help, you can donate money online! 100% of these funds will go directly toward purchasing brand-new, well-insulated shelter units and straw for outdoor dogs.

🐾 A Glimpse Behind the Kennels: Why We've Been So Quiet 🐾

A lot of you have asked to see more of our daily life here at Kentucky Paws Animal Rescue.
We would love to post updates every day, but the honest truth is:
we are simply too busy running on the ground to pick up the phone.
When you are a small, dedicated team managing 20+ dogs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every single minute counts.
Here is what it actually takes to keep our rescue running for just one day:
⏱️ The Clock Never Stops: Feeding, watering, walking, scrubbing out kennels, washing bowls, and giving medications takes hours of intense physical labor.
Between the morning routine and cycling dogs out for potty breaks and playtime, it is a non-stop cycle from before sunrise until late at night.
🥣 Feeding the Pack: With over 20 hungry mouths to feed, it takes roughly one 50lb bag of dry food every two days just to keep up.
💸 The Daily Cost: Between food, water, heavy cleaning supplies, medical checks, and basic daily maintenance, our essential day-to-day operations add up rapidly.

Every single dollar we receive goes directly toward keeping these dogs safe, clean, and fed.Because we are a small non-profit in an area with limited local resources, we completely rely on our social media family to be the voice for these animals.

Without your donations, we quite literally cannot open our doors tomorrow.

❄️ WINTER IS COMING & WE NEED EMERGENCY HELP ❄️
We have a massive update, but also a huge hurdle.
Thanks to incredible dedication, we have transitioned built our new building and successfully fixed everything inside it just about!
It is almost perfect for our pack, but there is one major problem:
we still need to get the heating system, and winter is just around the corner.

After everything we went through last winter, we are determined to be 100% prepared and ahead of the game this year.
We cannot let our pups face the brutal cold without a plan.
Right now, we need to immediately build an emergency stockpile to keep our pups safe and warm.

We are desperately asking for:
🐶 Dry Dog Food: We go through bags quickly, and every donation keeps a belly full.

🧼 Puppy Pads: With 20+ dogs and puppies, we use pads constantly to keep kennels spotless.

💰 Monetary Donations: To help us urgently fund the furnace installation before the freeze sets in.If you can spare even the cost of one bag of food or a pack of pads, you are keeping a rescue dog safe.

Thank you for standing by us, even when we are too busy working to post.

They depend on us, and we depend on you. ❤️

🚨 CRITICAL HELP NEEDED: Our Bowls Are Empty, and They Only Have Us 🚨
Right now, looking into the eyes of the forgotten, the abandoned, and the abused dogs at Kentucky Paws Animal Rescue breaks our hearts.
They have survived the worst of humanity, freezing nights, and complete neglect. They came to us seeking a safe haven, but today, we are completely out of food and running dangerously low on basic essentials like puppy pads.

Our small group of dedicated volunteers works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, pour every ounce of our energy into giving these sweet souls a second chance. We don’t clock out. We spend our days cleaning kennels, rushing sick animals to the vet, nursing terrified puppies, and showing broken dogs what love feels like for the very first time.

We push through the exhaustion because we refuse to give up on them. Every single day, we fight to rebuild their lives from scratch, providing the stability and care they have always been denied.
But we cannot feed them with love and hard work alone. Our funds are entirely exhausted. It is a devastating feeling to look at a puppy or a senior dog who has finally stopped shaking, only to realize we don't have a single scoop of kibble to offer them.
They cannot speak for themselves—they only have our tired hands, and right now, we need you.
Please don't let them go hungry tonight.
Even a tiny sacrifice from you means a full belly, a collar, and a clean, dry bed for a dog who has nowhere else to go.

Update so panacur don't treat for them either..

This was brought to my attention.
Nexgard Plus does not protect against tape worms.
So if you have adapted from us in the last few weeks. Your babies have not been wormed against tape worms.
We are getting Panacur asap because tape worms are the worst you can not really see them and cause runny and sometimes bloody stool. Off to get Panacur we go. Need to keep these babies healthy and happy.

Molly, Barnie, and Moose are going to their new for ever home today. Wish them luck.
