Thanks for everything, Dan! We will selfishly miss seeing you around the office, but we are so excited for you and all of the adventures that retirement holds in store! Best of luck!

Though he has been scaling back his involvement for some time now, today marks the official final day in-office for our long-time team member and former sales manager of several decades, Dan Wren, as he makes his retirement official.

Dan has been an instrumental part of our team here at Country Folks Grower and Lee Newspapers since his arrival in the late 90's - guiding Country Folks Grower over the years to its place as a key player in the industry - and leading our former sister publication Wine & Craft Beverage News on a strong trajectory through its lifetime as well. Dan is incredibly team-minded and has devoted a lot of time and energy to coaching and teaching the younger members of his team towards success and educating them on this industry we all know and love.

This is not goodbye, just "see you later" and we are incredibly excited for Dan as he steps into this next chapter! Thank you for everything, Dan. We'll take it from here.

Editor's Note: If you would, leave a congratulations in the comments or a good memory of working with Dan throughout the years. :)

"After decades at our current location, it is with VERY MIXED EMOTIONS that I announce our move to Canajoharie! I lived in the apartment above our current Palatine facility until I was in 4th grade. I embarked on my first job (and pretty much my only job since then!) there at age 14, watching hundreds of local people come and go through the door of the front office to place classified ads, pick up a copy of the paper, pay a bill, order and pick up commercial print orders, deliver lunch to an employee, deliver packages from UPS and FedEx, coming and going from work. You name it. It wasn’t just a place of business, it was home. I’m excited, sad, happy, and everything in between! Please join me in welcoming our family business Lee Newspapers Inc. to Canajoharie!"
-Janet Lee Stanley, President of Lee Newspapers
