About last weekend....

The dance floor was insane. It's unclear if it was the incredible work of or the dance moves from our couple that led the way, but with martinis in hand, the floor was packed.

Mason and Matt are enjoying their dream honeymoon in Italy and Malta while I dive deeply into editing their film. I'd be willing to bet they've already gone swimming a few times, enjoyed multiple gelatos, and are having the absolute best time.

Mason was so excited about the honeymoon that on the wedding day, after the first look, she excitedly told us they'd be leaving for Italy at 8 PM that night! We had to remind her she had a very large party to attend full of people she knew and loved. It made us all laugh and led to a beautiful sequence of candid portraits. They flew out the next evening.

A lot of people ask what would make their wedding day great and it's simply this- relax and be yourself. Mason and Matt did that beautifully. I loved capturing their happiness then and editing it now.

Three beautiful days in Chautauqua, NY went by like a blur.

The weekend started with an intimate rehearsal dinner at the families lake house. The next morning, an old family tradition carried forth as the ladies gathered for gift giving and bridal brunch. Friday evening music and food overflowed as guests gathered for the welcome party with the absolute best weather. And finally, a climatic wedding day where Sebby glowed and Lucas stood in awe; A long time love sealed for the rest of their lives.

Summer weddings are taking shape and I can't want to see what our planner friends have been working so hard on these past months! 'Til then, a favorite from last June with a speech that had everyone in tears.

Heirloom fire rose with the sun to begin stoking fires at Gathre Green. The kitchen, built from the ground up was the heart of this celebration.

Guests passed by on their way to the ceremony as meat roasted and veggies crackled. Anticipation could not be higher after small, mouthwatering bites were released throughout cocktail hour.

As the sun set, dinner was served. People returned for seconds, and thirds. Wine flowed, laughter rumbled, and the fires crackled on. Still not sure if it was all a dream.
