The Now Hear This team has recently had the opportunity to work with the amazing Aurora Fire District to assist with a new logo and brand refresh! We're still working on some stuff we can't share quite yet, but check out this new logo on the AFD uniform shirts!
This simple but bold design encompasses AFD's proud, rural identity and embodiment of the spirit of Oregon (which is especially important since they can be confused with and sometimes even get calls for Aurora, Colorado!).

In the studio today with legendary wrestler Larry Owings! This guy has an incredible story to tell and is an amazing mentor and example to our local youth! (Also, thanks for not turning me into a pretzel.)
Thanks to Malinda Buckles, of Remembering America's Heroes (RAH), for recreating this piece of America's history during a recent visit to Now Hear This Studios in Canby! "Over There" was a No. 1 song during the First World War, selling over 2 million copies. When President Woodrow Wilson declared war on Germany in 1917, Americans weren't entirely sure we wanted to send our soldiers "Over There." This song, and others like it, helped shift public opinion in favor of the war effort, and the more than 4 million troops America sent to the battlefields of Europe played a decisive role in the Allied victory.
Tyler Clawson was a guest on Snark Tank, a local Portland Podcast, and it is awesome.

For the past couple months, I’ve been talking with friends, family and people I’ve just met about death. Why? I’m not really sure. For whatever reason, the subject fascinates me. …
The crazy guys at the Canby Now Podcast are at it again. We like the camo one, personally.
It seemed like a lot of folks weren't thrilled with the fake tree, so our crack team came up with some ideas for the new cell tower that you might like better. Let us know which one you think is best and we'll email AT&T.

Check out the trailer for RISE, our new mini-doc looking back on last year's tragic loss of two local teens to suicide, as well as the efforts by staff and student leaders to transform the culture of Canby High. Look for the full vid to drop on Thursday along with the newest episode of the Canby Now Podcast!
When we started the Canby Now Podcast in August 2018, we had no idea where the journey would take us. And it has taken us some pretty strange places, from a burning building to the top of Mount Hood (well, within sight of the top, anyway), from the Canby Ferry to a working dairy farm (and no, the cows weren't happy to see us).
We started this company because we believe in Canby, and the many voices and stories that comprise it. We wanted to provide a way for busy people to connect with and learn about their hometown, and the growth we've seen has been nothing short of remarkable: with now more than 6,500 monthly listeners and a combined social media audience of over 4,000 active followers.
Along the way, our vision has also grown. Our dream is to create a professional recording studio in the heart of town unlike anything Canby has ever seen. Now Hear This Studios will be a hub for creative enterprise, professional development and impactful storytelling, open to all the diverse voices that make up our community.
Through collaboration with the Canby School District and other education partners, we hope to help build the next generation of confident, motivated storytellers and journalists, who will serve their world with courage and integrity. And we hope to help preserve Canby's heritage and legacy, with not-for-profit storytelling projects centered around local populations of critical cultural significance, including our senior, veteran and Latino community members.
Our vision is ambitious, for sure, but with our drive and determination, and with your continued support, we know that it is well within our grasp. The Time Is Now. Thank you.
With Love, The Tylers
