Walking With A Purpose and Da Church Podcast will be hold our 8 week Youth-led Podcast Workshop called, "Youth Talks."

Youth Talks was developed to empower young people and give them a platform to voice their concerns by addressing a variety of issues that impact them, their communities, and the world at large. Not only is podcasting fun to do, it also supports important 21st century skills for communication, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Youth love podcasting as a medium to tell their story and share their ideas. Youth identify issues they feel are prevalent and compelling and work with Walking With A Purpose, teachers and community members to help promote awareness and solutions.

Through the youth-led podcasting program, students will learn the following skills:

Youth would identify issues in the community and address them through interactive podcasts and therefore it is a way to share marginalized voices.
Communication Skills: Teaches youth respect for other voices and perspectives.
Reading, Research and Content Writing Skills.
Speaking and effective communication with adults and peers.
Prioritizing and time management.
Self-discipline.
Critical thinking, information analysis and problem solving.
Logical and informed decision making.
Research and Interview.
Working in a team environment.
Creative thinking.
Confidence.

Make Learning Enjoyable with Walking With A Purpose Health and Wellness Workshop. The kids will explore different things about health, that will keep them engaged and enthusiastic. Our health lesson plans range in topics designed for preschool kids to elementary and middle school students. We’ve designed these health lessons for kids to be time-efficient yet impactful and memorable.

In this workshop, kids will learn fun ways to practice mindfulness and balance, how to eat well, ways to be active, or keep clean and hygienic—and without it feeling like another chore.
