I needed something a bit lighter after all the heavy foods we had over Christmas. To make the candied pecans: 1 cup pecans 2 Tbsp butter2 Tbsp sugar1/4 tsp of cinnamon Pinch of sea salt melt butter over medium heat and add sugar, cinnamon and sea salt. Once combined, add pecans and stir consistently for approximately 3 minutes until sugar dissolves. Pour onto parchment paper to cool. For the salad: I used arugula, but you could use any type of greens you prefer1-2 pears Goat cheese , or blue cheese1-4 cup pomegranate seedsSalad dressing: 1/2 cup olive oil1/4 cup white wine vinegar 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard 2 Tablespoons honey or maple syrup Sea salt and black pepper to tasteAdd all ingredients in a glass jar and shake until combined. Add arugula to salad bowl. Layer with pears, pecans, pomegranate seeds, and goat cheese. Drizzle with vinaigrette.#homeanddish #saladsofinstagram #saladrecipe #saladideas

My daughter made some dark chocolate covered cashews with sea salt. They turned out fabulous 🎁🎁 She melted 85% Lindt chocolate (4 bars) in a double broiler. Once melted she added cashews, then spooned into paper liners and sprinkled on Maldon flaky sea salt.
