Rupert talked why it was important to create audio tools with a frequency range wider than the typical 20 to 20k. In one talk he mentioned the psychoacoustic effect of natural sound on human beings. Though he didn’t consider himself an expert on the subject he recognized that frequencies we can’t hear affect how we feel. His conclusion was that he wanted to design tools with as wide of frequency range as possible. His heart and vision for audio tools was so inspiring to me. 

Today would have been Rupert Neve’s 99th birthday, and we’re thinking of him fondly.

Our Carriage House Recording Studio

We’d love to meet you. We have free writer's events (Bring Your Song, aka BYS) at the studio once/month. The first monday night of every month, usually 6:30PM. Check http://www.bringyoursong.com for dates/times. It’s a great way to meet others who share your passion for creating great music.

The Carriage House, home of Realgrey Records, is a private recording studio owned and operated by Ron Flack (Me). The studio has grown with a group of songwriters, players, producers and mixers. The physical studio is run by my studio cohort, John King and I.
