In case you hadn't noticed: HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heat index values of 95 to 105 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northern New York and central, northeast,
northwest, and southern Vermont.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.

It was a banner year for Sarah Thompson M’25. She earned her master’s degree in leadership, competed in the NCAA tournament with St. Lawrence University: Women's Hockey, and earned one of the most distinguished awards in college hockey—the Hockey Humanitarian Award.
