I was one of the few film acting coaches that also had years of history on stage and a degree in theatre. That history made working with stunning stage actors, like this one, more common and very marvelous. Familiar vocabulary and assessments of characters made chalking up through even tough analysis quite smooth. Stage actors fueled comparatively physical body training, as well, so performers like him were invariably able to sustain quite grounded on-camera existence. Adding on physical challenges due to character differences were imaginative and successful.

Teen years were often a challenge because even astounding talent like him would traverse time that involved wearing braces or surfacing changes through faces, which was definitely heavy for some. Not this one! He was open to guidance, but ready to tackle stretching roles film was creating. He has been marvelously successful in grand live performances and is prominent in the city where he trained. Now a dad, too! Glorious to have had the opportunity to walk a tiny step in his training! Can't wait to discover even more future accomplishments!

She and I shared experience with public school teaching, singing, and ACTING! I always felt so much inspiration from her based on her ability to move through characters that seemed like they were far from her kind and loving nature! She was so dedicated that living in San Antonio never kept her back from pursuing every opportunity. In fact, she even spent one of her biggest birthdays ever at an Advanced Acting Retreat! Her hubby had a cake delivered and we ALL celebrated the wonder of her commitment.

Her sweet heart used another gift to help someone who had a difficult cancer in the past. She and I and several performers put together a band so we could lead live music during the non-profit benefit to help the dad get through surgery and future cancer fighting. Of course that memory means even more to me now, if possible to even think, since I am currently fighting one myself.

I always loved her inspiration and heart, and I will never tire of dreaming of seeing her performances all. the. time!

“Her world should always be adventurous!” That is where we have a similar heart, so I never would back away from that drive! She has been an actress even since her spiky days as young stage girl and has worn the costumes of literally every type of job for a character.

As I coached, I never felt her nervous, but quite literally, almost laughed with her at every living coaching time together, whether the scene was dramatic or comedic. She was absolutely knowledgeable about layers within our humanity being added to our characters and the necessity of simply spending time with another acting specialist to identify and get those vulnerabilities at the tips of the fingers. Her college education not only covered performance, but also included Psychology, so our brief vocabulary between professionals was easy to throw back and forth.

It was so special being with her during a season where her love and she were providing such a positive example to the world. Getting to go to her wedding was such an honor. I hear she produces adventurous projects now as well as performs! That is absolutely how it should be!

The world’s entertainment industry is generally overwhelmingly tough, considering the repeated tests of abilities as well as capacity of patience. Unique talent-filled beautiful souls like her who gather for weekly classes is absolutely the blessing. Even though she was extremely busy working in hospitals, she was yet committed to the team of the class. Her heart for children and folks her age is especially a gift that my class depended on for trusting, even in competition.

One thing I will always remember, even as a tall athletic woman, she purposely ensures a sweet and balanced voice to comfort those around her who may be smaller or fearful. What a lovely example of peaceful leadership.

When a joyfully smiling and sweet lady is as calm and loving as she constantly is, most networking actors assume “just an easy life”. One of the most astounding honors as an acting coach is being trusted with the true reality of students' tough pasts. This remarkable woman also passionately listened intensely to those who needed an ear and never wasted a day in the pursuit of spending quality time with others.

Trust and commitment of creative trials make her an immensely talented actress. She always pushed further with her own inner desire to be even better than perfect. When you fully think of her as the most kind person on earth, starring in her own screenplay which gave her a thorough chance at revenge would outright surprise you.

Even when you don’t get to stay in touch all the time, within a moment, she encloses you and reminds you why you trusted her in the first place. She has constantly been sacrificing time to help others in their careers, often by offering special locations. Even if your beliefs are not hers, she respects what you face and underneath in spirit understands the love and protection you need. No matter what I have faced in the world, spending even just a few moments with her brings beautiful peace and rest. She is an unforgettably special creation!

Exactly how many years total I was blessed alongside a youth’s journey is generally uncertain. However, this glorious lady had texted me a sweet thank you message that appreciated the 7 years of joyous on-camera training…and especially gatherings of her classmates when she needed them.

“I don’t know what you did but do know she called last night and said how ‘lucky she was to be surrounded by people who care’” (from mom)

Dancing with the Stars in Austin had her as the celebrity, we just found! As a teen girl, she always brought unique, intensely honest and brave performances to her selected characters on-screen. In a recent interview on youtube, she was offering her adult hard work performance to help protect Austin children in Center for Child Protection. Exceptionally proud of her!

When I first met her, she delightfully reminded me of the first on-screen coach I had in Houston. The coach had fully surprised us one evening when she came in with immense energy! Our worldly habit is generally to judge ladies of a certain age to only have a limited energy available. This talented San Antonio actress always brings energy unmistakable for passing along her gift to anyone who will listen.

She loves laughing and in class will never hesitate to add in fun comments for everyone to ease up and smile, no matter what their mood of the day. On the other hand, she is extraordinary in bringing honest hurt moments while performing. Her characters have held loss, hurt, wounds, bruises and suffering. Her characters are able to grab the audience as they feel what she is feeling.

Sometimes as we age, vision can be more of a challenge. Since I am also having a bit of that at the moment, I believe she and I should join audio recordings…emphatically grab microphones and record powerful stories…we apparently never want to be finished with gifting to others. Audio while we wait for healed eyesight!

Truly beyond belief that this powerful young girl never emerged nervous to me in any overwhelming performance expectations. How she (as a young girl) was able to come into film acting class so young and not be nervous was sometimes mystifying to me. In honesty, I had done young acting, but all on the theatre stage where I felt more comfortable than in life in general.

She would often hand pick scenes written for adults, and I would adjust so that she could strike whatever layer in a character was appealing to her. Crushed characters she would bring to life with a breath-taking voice. This instinct circumvented all of our typical theatre instincts to project loudly. Oh her ability to layer is stunning! She knew there were microphones and one only needed her to express her inner intense emotions with her eyes, as if there was realistically only one person in the world across from her.

She also had a bright and sparkling blast, don’t get me wrong! Appreciating other teens in class gave this lady stress release and truly inspiring thoughts of amazing adults for our world’s future.

Music and Theatre both were my UT advanced studies, so even my film acting class showcases had music involved because I simply could never choose one completely over the other. I am so exhilarated to learn that she now is masterfully involved in working the professional music world! How majestic!

An incredible actress with patience, tolerance, and composure. The kind of young woman with a breathtaking smile. She was trusted so deeply by directors with super challenging roles, casting directors who needed a small, yet powerfully emotional woman, and young men students needing a non-judging reader. Something about her true focus and listening without a doubt guided them to take the leap and invest real vulnerability into tough scenes.

Coaches always pray for and reach as much empathy as they can to help guide students. I don’t know that I had the more honest understanding of what it is like if your every day life is a battle for survival through pain. Now that I am battling brain cancer, I shed tears for Kiri and her constant battle every time she came into class with a smile. She is an ever incredible inspiration to powerful walking day by day, since she has mounted through RA nearly her entire life.

So often cast as a teenager even years away from that age because, like me, she’s petite!! I’ll never forget any of the roles, but she and another here have a scene that always comes to mind for me as they see each other in the film, shed beautiful tears, and hug. Love you both!

One of the tallest student’s ever dynamite entrance for acting class is unforgettable! His mom’s phenomenal support was absolutely necessary, as well, since they lived such a long haul from Austin!

He is of remarkable intelligence, so school work was always top of the line. In fact, my adult students were competitive to have him join them in a scene or jump into his for performance showcases because he was so talented and so mature.

He trusted the studio instructor enough that when she suggested it, he went with the guidance to allow his hair to grow longer for a season of projects looking for long hair teen guys (even though he never wanted his hair long). Since he heard that teens had often seen lower casting in projects until they were 18, he marvelously took time to write original feature-length, marvelously fantasy screenplays.

His beautiful family gifted him a graduation trip to LA back in the day. While in LA, such a variety of experiences were given, including everything from VO training, editing enlightenment, Hollywood marketing, and even unique nature hikes. The most memorable, though (I hope), was an awe-inspiring, diverse group of alumni actors from Step Rowe's training, who were reunited and gathered to offer a live read-through of one of his fantastic, fantasy screenplays. They loved his project!

In the end, this was likely a trip that formed his decision for his optimal future pursuits. It’s astonishing to follow his pursuits of even more impressive mind, stunning physical challenges and monumental creativity!
