Feeling the loss of our dear friend, awesome paddling partner, and one of our small tribe, David Blanding. He believed in us from early on, jumped in to help us grow when we needed him, and is hopefully smiling down on us with a paddle in his hand and adventure still in his heart. Peace and love to all who spent time with Dave on and off the water.

Coastal Kayaks was founded by a small group of professional guides to return kayak design to its “Seagrass Roots”. The goal is to create great gear that you can rely on and look forward to paddling every day. We do this by innovating on the design side to build boats that perform as intended and expected, as well as looking for opportunities to enhance durability and simplicity in our outfitting and accessories. You won't find a lot of fancy tabs, levers, and dohickeys on our boats. What you will find is an attention to detail born from hours of paddling in a variety of conditions.
