The Hurricane Ian Show was proud to support the non-profit groups, like the United Disaster Relief Organization and the American Policyholders Association, to do the groundwork behind this article. We already know this information because we have been working with victims from day one after the storm. We will do everything within our power to criminally hold companies liable for fraud against policyholders.

After Hurricane Ian, Florida insurance companies have been aggressively seeking to limit payouts by altering the work of licensed adjusters trained to assess damaged homes, according to a Washington Post investigation. As a result, homeowners are left footing most of the bill for repairs.

Reaching out for help, and sometimes publicly calling out companies for not treating you fairly, sometimes speeds up progress as is the case for this Cape Coral family. If you are struggling with your claim, please reach out. We work with several non-profits that exist solely to help policyholders who are experiencing fraudulent and unfair behavior from their own insurance company, i.e. not paying valid claims.

You pay property insurance—thousands of dollars a year—expecting to get money to rebuild your home when disaster strikes. Five months after Hurricane Ian, one Cape Coral family lives in limbo. They say they followed all the rules, but can’t get their claim paid, so they contacted WINK investig...

Today is the day SW Florida. One of the best opportunities to get answers to the tough questions you have about your Hurricane Ian claims. Recent legislative changes have created intentional confusion and doubt on the side of policyholders. In working with the Hurricane Ian Show we have met thousands of people and the number one issue is fair handling of insurance claims, especially with senior citizens. The older population of SW Florida deserves to be treated with dignity and that's not what we've seen time and time again. We are putting on this event for the community so anyone who wants free help with their claims can get some assistance without any obligation or someone forcing you to sign up for anything.
