🎣 A Pretty Cool Fishing Accomplishment! 🏆

I’m proud to share that I recently received recognition from Catch a Florida Memory for catching a Saltwater Reel Big Fish! 🎣🔥

Unfortunately, I did not receive the actual world record because we chose to harvest the fish, so it wasn’t eligible for the official world-record submission. But honestly, being recognized for the catch is still something I’m pretty proud of.

It’s a great reminder that sometimes it’s not about the record it’s about the memories, the experience, and being out on the water doing what you love. 🌊☀️🎣

🎣 Sanibel Area Fishing Report 🎣

We hit the water yesterday and headed out toward the Sanibel area in search of some snook and redfish. Well… the fish apparently didn't get the memo! 😂

We ended up catching everything but the snook and redfish. We put a couple gag grouper, a black drum, a black grouper, some good-sized mangrove snapper, and a jack in the boat.

We fished the incoming tide, with water temperatures in the mid-80s. The bite wasn't exactly what we went looking for, but we still managed to put together a pretty good day on the water.

After a day of fishing, we headed over to The Waterfront Restaurant in St. James City for some lunch. I had the Sweet Tea Chicken, and let me tell you… that was some good stuff! 😋

At the end of the day, it's not always about catching exactly what you're targeting. It's about being out on the water, catching some fish, eating some good food, and spending the day with good friends.

🎣 What an awesome day on the water! 💕

I had the privilege of tagging along with these amazing ladies for the “It’s All About the Ladies” fishing tournament with the Southwest Florida Fishing Club.

I brought along some Perry Fishing Lures for the ladies to try out on their targeted species — ladyfish. And let me tell you, those lures seemed to do the job! 🎣🔥

The ladies did all the work while I got to sit back, tag along, and enjoy watching them have a great time catching fish, laughing, and enjoying a beautiful day on the water.

It was awesome spending the day with such a fun group of ladies. The smiles, the competition, and just being out there together made it a day to remember!

A huge thank you to the Southwest Florida Fishing Club for putting on such a great event, and to these ladies for letting me tag along!

And a special shout-out to Perry Fishing Lures for giving us some lures to put to the test! 🎣

Great friends + fishing + a little competition = one heck of a day! ❤️🎣

🎣 Captain Jay’s Tackle Testing
Offshore Fishing Report 🎣

Location: Near Fantastical Reef
Depth: 80–120 ft
Water Temp: High 80s
Conditions: Calm seas, HOT temperatures 🔥

It felt great to finally get back offshore! The water was surprisingly calm, and the fish were ON FIRE! We fished anywhere from 80 to 120 feet of water near Fantastical Reef and put several fish in the boat, including grouper, American red snapper, and lane snapper.

For this trip, I was putting the Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp Grouper Rigs to the test again, and once again, they performed great. They handled the bite and got the job done!

The only thing that might have been biting harder than the fish was the Florida heat! 😂 We may or may not have gotten a little heat stroke out there, but honestly… it was worth every minute of it! 🥵😂🎣

Great fishing, great friends, and a great day back on the water. You really can't ask for much more than that.
