of 10/7/23 at East Bay!
We did the unimaginable in critical time yesterday. Dad and I went to load the car, all new parts that seemed to be working prior completely stopped. We got it back on stands and tore the transmission and it’s concurrent components out to see what was wrong. A small rain delay at the track gave us just enough time. In a moment that we should’ve been exchanging choice words with this car, we instead shared so much laughter. Why not create good from a bad situation? We weren’t giving up, I’m glad we didn’t. At 6:54 PM we left the house and drove the 15 minutes to the track, rushed to unload and I got ready to start last in my heat, finishing 4th on a very muddy racetrack. Started outside pole in the feature, finished 2nd!
I’ve come so far and I’m not stopping here, there’s still one more position I hope to capture very soon in this car for the team. Whether it’s at our home track or out of state we’re going for it!
