Happy late 207 Day!!!
I finally took a drive to Cape Elizabeth and spent a grey January morning at Portland Head Light. Passing the time listening to the waves crashing against the shore, boats firing up and steaming out to check their traps, the sound of the bell on the marker buoy ringing across the bay. Patiently waiting to capture my first sunrise photos at one of Maines beautiful lighthouses. Just as I had given up and started walking back to the truck, I turned to see the skyline on fire. I ran back and snapped a couple photos before the color quickly started to fade into the horizon. I just love our beautiful state of Maine ❤️🌲🦞🌊

Took a drive up the coast on Monday with Joe to take a peek at one of his great uncle Bert Frost boats. I just love photographing these old wooden boats and my favorite perspective is a head on lower bow shot. Imagine being the ocean and seeing how the hulls slice and move through the water..... Gaaaah he's turned me 🤣🤣🤣 (2nd boat "Margery Anne" was built by Arno Day and 3rd boat "Miss Isle" is a 30' Repco)

The past year and a half has been an emotional roller coaster for our family. Life just kept throwing punches and just when we thought things couldn't get any worse Covid hit. Because the boatyard is top priority I had to make the decision to put my business on the back burner for a little bit and focus on bigger things. So get ready to see more boat posts because I'm about to dive head first into the boat building world with my awesome husband as my teacher!
My absolute favorite part of our day so far is spending sunsets oceanside with our beautiful girl Norah 🥰
