It was a traditionally wet and wild Fourth of July in Dana Point Harbor last Friday, with packed beaches, plenty of watercraft, revelers spraying each other with water guns and water-filled buckets, a military flyover, American flags everywhere and, of course, the always-anticipated and crowd-pleasing fireworks display launched from a barge in the harbor.

Fun in the sun – and the surf – doesn’t get much better than July 4 festivities in Dana Point Harbor.

Fittingly, the new parking structure in the harbor opened just in time for this year’s holiday fun.
