It was a lovely summer day in northern Michigan, so I’m pretty sure I went to play tennis instead of watching MTV all day. Also, I couldn’t watch old school TVs for more than a couple of hours without eye strain.

40 years ago today, nearly 2 billion viewers tuned in to watch on TV the historic Live Aid concerts in both London and Philadelphia.
