The Cairo Heritage Foundation is set to host the 2025 Blues & Gospel Festival on September 11–13 in Historic Downtown 8th Street, Cairo, Illinois. The free three-day celebration will feature live gospel, blues, and soul performances, along with food vendors, a 50/50 drawing, and a community parade.

📅 Schedule Highlights:
• Thursday, 9/11: Gospel Music (6–9 p.m.)
• Friday, 9/12: Cat Daddy O (6 p.m.), The J Sound (8 p.m.)
• Saturday, 9/13: Parade at 2 p.m., followed by performances from Big “A” Trio, The Phonics, Sheryl Youngblood, and Sweet Angel.

🎟️ Admission is free. Festival-goers are encouraged to join in the “Boots on the Ground” theme nights Friday & Saturday by rocking cowboy boots, hats, and blue jeans.

Apple Music Partners With TuneIn To Expand Radio Reach Worldwide

Apple Music just made its biggest move outside the Apple app yet. Starting this week, all six of Apple’s live, ad-free radio stations — including Apple Music 1, Hits, Country, Música Uno, Club, and Chill — are now streaming worldwide on TuneIn.

That means listeners can tap in on smart speakers, cars, headphones, and more through TuneIn’s platform, which reaches 75 million users across 200+ devices.

The move comes as Apple tries to close the gap with Spotify. Apple Music’s U.S. market share has slipped to about 25%, while Spotify leads with nearly 37%. By putting its stations on TuneIn, Apple hopes to draw in new listeners and push them toward full Apple Music subscriptions.

Apple Music Debuts Playlist Import Tool

Apple Music has officially launched a new feature enabling users to import their playlists—and even saved albums and songs—from other streaming services like Spotify. Originally beta-tested in Australia and New Zealand in May 2025, the tool is now live in the U.S., U.K., Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, and Mexico. Users can find it in Settings → Music → Transfer Music from Other Music Services, or access it via the web, with step-by-step instructions available on Apple’s support site .

The tool is powered by a partnership with SongShift, which matches content across platforms—flagging unmatched songs for user review, with 30 days to resolve any discrepancies .
