Get ready for a brand-new weekend soundtrack! Starting this Saturday from 8 to 10 p.m., tune in for The Retro Cocktail Hour your weekly hi-fi highball of vintage ā€œbachelor padā€ music, exotica, private eye jazz, and wild, eccentric pop sounds from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s.

The show’s serving up everything from obscure Italian B-movie soundtracks and smooth bossa nova to retro-inspired contemporary bands like Don Tiki, the Tokyo Panorama Mambo Boys, Waitiki, the Tikiyaki Orchestra, the Italian Secret Service, Balanco, and more.

Happy Cyber Monday - it’s December 1st. It’s a cloudy and cold start to the day on the SIU campus. Mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers developing late this afternoon into tonight. High near 35. Much of the region could see less than a half inch of accumulation by morning. Massac and Pope counties are under a winter weather advisory tonight until 6am tomorrow. Up to an inch of snow and sleet is expected along with some light icing.
