I haven't done a tournament update in a while, and it's an easy explanation: I haven't been fishing well at all, and I've been beating myself up over it. I get it, I'm not going to win every one. But lately, I've been making mistakes I've never made before, and it's been costing me big time! In the Table Rock Lake tournament, I didn’t get to launch until almost 2 hours late, and I lost some really big fish on top of that. And it seems like every year I lose a really good fish there. But I've never had one spit my chatterbait out of its mouth 3 feet in the air... again, it was all my mistake. I definitely have some regrouping to do and need some mental preparation. I've definitely been overthinking things a bit. But yeah, my season this year is pretty well chalked. I doubt I qualify for much after the start I’ve had. But I'm planning on finishing my season out and getting after it real hard next year. & 🤙🏽🤙🏽🎣

The 2026 Moyak Elite series Ellie Bowman Memorial is this Saturday. Hands down, one of my favorites and, in my eyes, the most important event of the year. Good or bad day on the water, I'm going to do my best not to swear all day and just fish. Life is definitely unfair, but the people you surround yourself with make things just a little bit better. And my MoYak family is full of great people, and we do a lot of great things as a club. And I'm just blessed to be a part of it!

All American Classics are in the morning!! 2-day tournament on Truman lake. The last time I fished that lake, I brought home a trophy. Going to try to replicate that in the next two days. Fishing the team side with my buddy Jimmy Burgess. Definitely going to be a fun one. I'll keep you all posted and do an update on how things went after day 1. And as always

I had a great time today at the Championship at Lake Taneycomo. It was good seeing everyone! I definitely didn’t fish the best today. I started the morning off losing a good one, and that bummed me out pretty bad. It’s been a really rough year for myself so far; I haven’t had a bite in the last three tournaments I fished, so when I missed that one, it really got in my head and I let that one fish ruin my day. I didn’t really have a game plan today, besides covering a bunch of water. But after that, I saw a bunch of huge bass roaming, and I spent way too long messing with those guys. And yeah, I definitely learned a lot, to say the least. In the last couple of minutes of the tournament, I got my second bite of the day; it definitely wasn’t a big one. But I’ll tell you what, I got so excited when I finally landed a fish – you would have thought it was 26 inches 😅. Literally, I got it submitted with less than 60 seconds left in the tournament. Congratulations to all the winners today! And I’m just blessed to be able to fish. I still have the Truman Classics on Friday and Saturday, so I definitely have to make some big plays this weekend and keep my head on a swivel.

Pomme De Terre Lake in the morning!! I know it's going to be a cold one! A big cold front came in with a bunch of rain, so that's going to make things interesting.
