Hi everyone. This is Charles from the Wantagh & Seaford Heralds. Last year, we rolled out a page called "Viewfinder," where we ask kids questions about timely topics. We're trying to localize the section to the areas we cover, so I wanted to post on here and see if anyone's interested in participating!
For the month of May, the question is related to Mother's Day: What makes your mom so special?
We're aiming to publish about 3-5 responses per town. Please note that if you send over a response, we cannot guarantee that it'll appear in print, but we publish one Viewfinder a month, so there will be plenty of opportunities to participate moving forward.
Submission guidelines are simple: We need a 1-2 sentence response from a child; a clear photo of them; their full name & age; and the town they reside in.
Submission deadline is April 28. Please see the attached picture of what a previously published page looked like in our paper (as you'll see, it was not town specific). Please email me at [email protected] or PM me. If you know anyone interested in participating, please feel free to have them reach out as well. I can share my cell # in Messenger with anyone interested.
