The double-edged sword every entrepreneur carries…

The greatest gift an entrepreneur has is the ability to pivot — and pivot quickly — when things aren't working, when the environment shifts, when new regulations arrive, or when economic stress starts to mount.

But this same gift can become a double-edged sword.

Jump too soon and you may miss out on striking gold in your current pursuit. Wait too long and it could cost you everything. Knowing which moment you're actually in is one of the hardest calls an entrepreneur has to make.

And here's what makes it even harder — that decision rarely gets made from a clear, calm place. Marred by emotion, fear, and sometimes over-eagerness, the picture can get cloudy fast. What feels like a strategic pivot in the moment is sometimes just fear wearing a business suit.

The solution — for me and for so many of the entrepreneurs I've worked with over the years — is one that the top producers know very well.
