Loving Opens Season With Statement Win on the Road
Loving had to travel to kick off their 2026 football season, but the long haul paid off in a big way. The Falcons powered past the Estancia Bears 46–33 on Friday night, delivering an explosive offensive performance that set the tone for the year.
Loving controlled the game early and built a commanding 40–19 lead by the end of the third quarter. Estancia clawed back in the final frame, but the Falcons’ advantage was too much to overcome.
The night belonged to Brodie Allen, who turned in a spectacular two‑way performance. Allen threw for 29 yards, but it was his work on the ground that broke the game open. He rushed for 109 yards and five touchdowns, matching his season‑high from the 21st—also against Estancia. His dominance fueled a Falcons rushing attack that piled up 220 yards, their highest total of the season.
Estancia found bright spots despite the loss. Joshua Villafuerte kept the Bears competitive with 34 rushing yards and a touchdown, plus 57 receiving yards. He also recorded an interception—his second straight game with a takeaway.
The win moves Loving to 1–0, while Estancia drops to 0–1 and extends their home losing streak to six games dating back to last season.
Up next, Loving returns home to host Non Varsity Opponent on Thursday at 6 p.m. Estancia will hit the road for the first time this season, traveling to face Hozho Academy Thursday at 7 p.m.
