CARLSBAD, NM - On Saturday August 23, 2025, at approximately 0750 hours, Carlsbad Police Officers were dispatched to 317 W. Farris in reference to a report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers located an unclothed male, later identified as Eddy Camancho, who had been severely beaten, rendered unconscious, and was barely breathing. Mr. Camancho was transported to Carlsbad Medical Center for emergency medical treatment and was subsequently airlifted to an out-of-town medical facility for advanced care. The Carlsbad Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is requesting the public’s assistance in this matter.
