Week 1 of the Island Batik Timeless Traditions Blog Hop has come to a close, and what a beautiful start it’s been! We’ve featured seven stunning quilts from our talented Ambassadors, each one celebrating the heart of traditional quilting through fresh color, creative design, and a love of timeless blocks. The perfect tone for the weeks ahead has been set!

Last but not least this week, Websterquilt's Suzy Webster made this stunning quilt that showcases the Enchanted Flutter collection in a dazzling interplay of purples, teals, and greens. Intricate piecing forms a radiant, symmetrical design that seems to glow from the center outward. Wow!

To make the quilt, Suzy also used matching 50 wt Aurifil thread, Heirloom Premium 80/20 Bleached Cotton/Poly Blend batting by Hobbs Quilt Batting, her mini oliso iron, AccuQuilt GO! 9" Mix and Match Block and a Microtex needle by SCHMETZneedles.

We close this week's Island Batik Timeless Traditions Blog Hop with Enchanted Flutter by Kathy Engle! This vibrant grouping of 20 batik fabrics blends shades of blue, green, and purple with delicate botanical and butterfly motifs that evoke a lush, magical garden. Shipping to your local quilt shops this month!

The first stop of the day is Renee Atkinson at Pink Tulip Quilting! Titled Butterfly Constellation, her glowing quilt features a mix of Ohio Star, Friendship Star, and other traditional blocks. We love the delicate butterfly in the top panel - what a lovely detail!

To make Butterfly Constellation, Renee also used matching 50 wt Aurifil thread, Heirloom Fusible batting by Hobbs Quilt Batting, AccuQuilt GO! cutter and dies, her mini oliso iron and a Vinyl needle by SCHMETZneedles.

The second host of today's Timeless Traditions Blog Hop is Denise Looney at A Quiltery! Framed with checkerboard and flying geese borders, her beautiful quilt has a cozy, woodsy feel while highlighting the delicate batik textures of the fabric by Carol Moellers.

It's still week 1 of the Island Batik Ambassador Timeless Traditions Blog Hop and today's featured collection is Cherry Blossom, designed by Carol Moellers! This delicate line was inspired by the elegance of blooming flowers and natural textures. It features a soft gradient of earthy browns, cool blues, and romantic pinks and mauves, perfect for creating quilts with a graceful, organic feel. Shipping to your local quilt stores this month!

The first stop of the day is Brittany Fisher at Bobbin with Brittany! We’re in love with her beautiful quilt boasting the Ohio Star, Hourglass, Sawtooth Star, Flying Geese, and Nine Patch blocks. What a warm, timeless design that we can’t stop admiring!

To make the quilt, Brittany also used the Electric Quilt 8 software, matching 50 wt Aurifil thread, Tuscany Cotton/Wool 80/20batting by Hobbs Quilt Batting, her mini oliso iron and an 80/20 needle by SCHMETZneedles.

Welcome to day 1 of Island Batik Timeless Treasures Blog Hop! Stay tuned as we showcase gorgeous traditional quilts made by our brilliant Ambassador team and new Island Batik collections, shipping to your local quilt stores this month!

We begin with Bloom Grove, a new collection by Jerry Khiev! This luminous grouping of 20 batiks evokes the warmth of sunlit forests and tropical skies, blending rich earthy browns with refreshing turquoise hues in lush floral and leafy motifs. Available in yardage, 2.5" Strip packs and 10" square Stacks!

The first stop is Susan Deshensky at Lady Blue Quilt Studio! Her beautiful Just Meandering Along quilt showcases the classic Quarter Square Triangle, Nine Patch, Four Patch, Friendship Star and and Variable Star blocks arranged on point, with alternating color placement that creates a diamond layout. The warm browns and sandy tans contrast beautifully with the cool turquoise tones from the Bloom Grove collection, giving the traditional pattern a refreshing, sunlit look.

To make Just Meandering Along, Susan designed the layout in Electric Quilt and used matching 50 wt Aurifil thread, Heirloom Premium Cotton Quilt batting by Hobbs Quilt Batting, her mini oliso iron and a Microtex needle by SCHMETZneedles.

Another beautiful bag comes from Solomae Stoycoff at Cuddle Cat Quiltworks! Her pattern of choice for this month's Sew Stylish challenge was Switchback by ByAnnie.com and Patterns By Annie and Solomae opted for the timeless blue and yellow color combination that brings the backpack to life 💙💛

To make the bag, Solomae used the fabric from our new Stone Strata collection, designed for Lizard Creek Quilting, matching Aurifil thread and size 12 Microtex needles by SCHMETZneedles.
