I am a true crime ju**ie.
Shows like 20/20, Dateline, 48 Hours & any & all true crime documentaries have always fascinated me. Never in a million years did I think I would have the opportunity to be in charge of my own crime scene investigation.

Here’s how the scene played out:

I’m sure ya’ll remember the little black kitten that Darren got to be a barn cat right before I came to Oregon. After raising her inside, there was no way I was gonna let her go stay out in the barn. She was gonna be a lovable house cat just like my 2 Ragdolls. I named her Rumor Willis Sutherland. I love her & she loves me.

Unfortunately, I had no idea that what’s in your nature, you can’t change. Sometimes, people & animals have a dark side that others know nothing about.

This Spring, Rumor had started wanting to go out in the garage. She spends her days there & only comes in when it’s bedtime so she can sleep with me. Just last week, I found my first bit of evidence. She was walking back to the house from the garden. The garden? I thought she was staying in the garage all day. Not roaming the grounds. Then, I began seeing her walking around the Koi pond. I thought she was the new self-appointed ranch security, but I was wrong. DEAD WRONG!

I hate to say this out loud, but the evidence has led me to the conclusion that Rumor Willis Sutherland is a ki!!er. The evidence does not lie. There have been 3 victims that I know about so far. She was only using the garage as her lair. A place to bring her unsuspecting victims while she has her way with them. It appears that I’m just like all those other unsuspecting mothers that think their children can do no wrong. 🤦‍♀️

I’m attaching the crime scene photos to this post so you can see for yourself. (Please keep in mind that these pictures are of a graphic nature.) 🤭

I apologize for not writing sooner. We have been very busy as of late. We have a VIP guest staying at the ranch with us. We have two more coming at the end of June & two more on July 4th. Remember how I used to write & invite ya’ll out to Oregon? Can you believe all these people took me seriously???? 🙄 🤦‍♀️ 🤷‍♀️

I’m also posting some other pics from the last few weeks. The last one is a photo of a lovely couple I saw at the McMinnville, Oregon Walmart today. It may be just me, but I’m thinking the lady may have forgotten something when she left the house…

Happy Weekend to you all!! I love and miss each one of you! ❤️

Well, I’m still alive out here in Oregon. We have been busy since returning from our cruise.

Not long after we got back, Darren discovered a bee swarm. 🐝 Thankfully, he had all his beekeeping stuff ready. He had planned on getting 2 new queens, but, due to the swarm he was able to catch, now we only needed one. The new queen bee was picked up & we are now the proud owners of 4 bee hives. Don’t ask me why we have 4 hives now because I don’t have a clue. 🤷‍♀️ After getting stung in the face that one time, I don’t mess with them dang bees anymore. I can only imagine this will mean more work for me when it’s time to collect the honey. 😩

We made a very quick trip home to Tennessee at the end of April. My nephew got married & I wasn’t gonna miss that. It’s always wonderful spending time with friends & family. I CANNOT wait until I can do that everyday!! (Thank goodness my sentence is getting less & less with every passing day!)

We flew from Oregon to Arizona to catch a connecting flight to Tennessee. While on our way to Arizona, we flew over the Grand Canyon. I had never seen it before. It looked gigantic from the plane. I’m sure it’s massive when you’re actually standing right there.

We made it back to Oregon just in time for the work in the orchard to begin. Darren’s been mowing & spraying for the last few days. While he’s taking care of that, I’ve started on my spring cleaning. (I’m not sure if all ya’ll know how much I hate cleaning, but, trust me, it’s A-LOT!!!) There is always something to do here on this dang farm! I sure miss the days when I went to work & came home to just relax.

In other news, Darren bought 4 new butterfly koi for our fish pond. It’s been a few days & they’re still alive, so I guess we’re doing something right. 🤷‍♀️ 🤞

I better get off here & get to cleaning. (I don’t know why because the cleaning is never done around here…) 🤦‍♀️ I’m attaching some pics from our trip home along with some of the animals here on the farm.

Hope each of you have a fantastic week! ❤️

Heavenly Days! Where has the time gone? I told ya’ll I was gonna tell you about our day in Beverly Hills & I left you hanging. I apologize. We are now on another flight back to Oregon from somewhere else, so I need to get to typing. I need to get this done. I’m falling way behind in my storytelling. 🤦‍♀️

Picture it! Last day of the cruise. We disembark, get our luggage, go through US Customs, & just like that, we are back in America. Unfortunately, it was raining in Los Angeles. As we’re standing IN THE RAIN waiting to board our tour bus, we are held up because we have 3 problems going wrong at the same time:
1. Our tour guide is late for work. (Lazy Americans…) 🤦‍♀️
2. Some dumba$$ has taken the wrong suitcase from Customs. (Yes, sweetie! It LOOKS like your bag, but that’s not your name on the tag.) I’m assuming she thought her’s was the only one they made in the color black… 🤦‍♀️
3. They are missing 2 excursion tickets. After hearing them make this announcement TOO MANY times, I almost stood up & took care of it myself. Please keep in mind the excursion tickets tear in half. One for me & one for them. The one for them is the actual ticket. The one for me is the receipt /description. Why not go from seat to seat & ask people to show you their receipt?? (Am I the only person left in the world that can problem solve??) 🤷‍♀️

3 things then happen one right after another:
1. Tom the tour guide FINALLY shows up for work. (Thanks, Tom. I hope we didn’t put you out any…) 🙄
2. Employees of NCL tracked down the lady that took the wrong suitcase & switched them out. (You guessed it. The idiot that can’t read a name tag was on our tour bus & that’s the reason I know this story.) 😂
3. They shut up about the missing excursion tickets. 🤦‍♀️

We were FINALLY on our way to Rodeo Drive & Beverly Hills!!! I couldn’t believe I was finally going to get to see all those places I had seen in the movies. Definitely a mark off of the Bucket List.

I won’t spend time boring you with where we went. There’s plenty of pictures to show you that’ll be attached to this post. I will however take some time to give you the highlights.

Darren had never been inside a Louis Vuitton store. (To be honest, Darren didn’t even know what a Louis Vuitton was before me.) 🤦‍♀️ Those days are now over. For those of you keeping score at home, as of April 12th, 2026, he has been inside 2 Louis Vuitton stores & 1 David Yurman store. It was right there on Rodeo Drive where Darren experienced his “Pretty Woman” moment. Right down the road from the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Exactly like Vivian. 🤯

Keep in mind, we had just gotten off of a 7 night cruise, I still had a sinus infection, had been standing in the rain waiting on lazy a$$ Tom to get to work so we could get on the tour bus & we’re dressed like hoodlums. When we walked in Louis Vuitton & David Yurman there on Rodeo Drive, the people at the door looked at us like we had ABSOLUTELY no business in there. EXACTLY as portrayed in the movie “Pretty Woman”. Right up until the moment they spotted my Louis Vuitton that was slung over my shoulder. Then, right before our eyes, EVERYTHING changed-as if it were magic. The sales people were falling all over themselves to help us. We actually heard the words, “I am here to serve you.” come out of one man’s mouth. 😳
Needless to say, Darren now KNOWS the power of a Louis Vuitton. 😂

When we got back to our meet up spot for the tour bus, I did get a picture of the public restroom where George Michael was arrested years ago for solicitation. 🙄 Unfortunately, another crime was occurring while we were there. There was a man walking around with his shirt off. He should’ve known better than that. Beverly Hills DOES NOT like ugly. I caught onto that quickly because the police were there in no time to arrest him. Unfortunately, for him, he also had illegal drugs on him, so there’s that, but… No matter what you hear on the news about law enforcement in California being lax, they are NOT talking about the Beverly Hills Police Department. They do not put up with your s**t in Beverly Hills. They will cart your ugly a$$ off. I’ve seen ‘em do it. 😆

I better end this post because it’s way longer than I thought it was gonna be. I will attach the pics & try to remember to comment under them so ya’ll know what you’re looking at.

Hope each one of you have an amazing week. Let’s talk soon. ❤️

Okay…okay… back to the cruise. It’s day 6 & we have just pulled into Cabo San Lucas for the day.

As luck would have it, when my alarm went off, I was still sick. But, like a pro, I scarfed down my ibuprofen & sinus meds & we were off to breakfast. After breakfast, we met our tour & our shore excursion began.

Our first stop was a glass factory where we got to watch the men work. I was amazed at the skill these men have. (Also extremely envious since I am not creative at all…) ❌

After the glass factory, we stopped at a resort for a drink & got to take in the surroundings. Our third stop was at a shopping plaza. Darren really likes Cabo & thinks he might like to go back sometime to an all-inclusive. (Keep in mind they don’t allow e-cigs in Mexico anymore, so we shall see…) 👎

Summary of our cruise ship:

The casino: It must not have been my lucky week because I didn’t win crap! By the 4th day of the cruise, I already had 2 phone messages & 2 emails letting me know I had another complimentary cruise waiting for me. 🙄

The shows: There was no Broadway-type show. We saw 2 shows that were in the theater that were good, but not great. (Icons the Band & Choir of Man) Up until February, they had Jersey Boys on that ship. Due to cut-backs, things were very much “small-scale”.
The best shows we saw were in the Atrium & they were the game shows the cruise passengers participated in. (Those were HILARIOUS!) 🤣
We went to a comedy show & it was not even worth mentioning. 😔

Activities & Service: Norwegian didn’t have a lot of activities during the day that interested either one of us. (I remember Royal Caribbean keeping me busy the entire cruise.)
No towel animals at night from the stateroom attendants. Our attendant even told us that they had scaled back the help & given the ones that were left more rooms to clean.
Main dining room service was the worst I’ve ever had on a cruise. (This makes my 8th cruise .)

We did like all the different complimentary dining restaurants. There was one right by the casino (Local Bar & Grill) that was fabulous! Their fish sandwiches were amazing! I can’t even tell you how many hot fudge sundaes we ate there. (Well, I could tell you, but you may think differently of us afterwards…) 🤭 🍨

I will say the employees on the ship were extremely nice. There was just a different feeling for me this time. Maybe it’s because Norwegian isn’t Royal Caribbean or maybe it’s because I’m a different person now than I was several years ago. 🤷‍♀️

Please don’t think this is the end of our cruise. Since our plane was a later flight, we booked a tour of Los Angeles when we got off the ship. Yep! I FINALLY made it to Beverly Hills, baby!! It was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! We had quite an interesting day & I can’t wait to tell you all about it. More importantly, you will get to hear about Darren’s “Pretty Woman” moment. (Trust me! You do not want to miss that!) 😉

I’m attaching the pics from Cabo. The weather was amazing!

Hope you all have an amazing week!! Let’s talk again soon.

04/23/2026

Alright, back to our cruise.

Day 5 was Mazatlan. From the moment I woke up, I knew something was wrong. I felt like I had been ran over by a truck. Why did I feel this way? Because we got an inside cabin on a cruise & Darren is claustrophobic. He had to keep the A/C turned down as low as it would go & it blew right on me all night. Mix that with the humidity in Mexico and BAM💥! My sinuses were all messed up. 🤒 (Please keep that in mind when you view our photos. My eyes look very droopy in most of them & it’s not because I’m drunk.) 😂

Unfortunately, Norwegian Cruise Lines wasn’t about to halt the cruise until I felt better, so I loaded up on sinus meds and ibuprofen because we had a big day planned.

We boarded our “open air” tour bus & off we went to see the sights. One of our stops was an open air shrimp market. The prawns were gigantic! It was right beside a restaurant where, after you bought some shrimp, you could take it to the restaurant & they’d cook it for free if you bought a beer from them.

After several other stops, we stopped for an authentic Mexican lunch at a small restaurant. Of course, we ordered shrimp tacos. They were good, but not El Tapatio in Cookeville good. (El Tap has really set the bar high with their shrimp tacos.) 😋

Anyone who’s ever been on a cruise & taken a tour, you know the tour guide always asks for tips for them & the driver to split. I understand that they get paid by the company they work for & American money is usually worth more than their currency. (Just for your own knowledge, on this trip $1 US=17 Pesos.) Anyways, our tour guide, Jorge, asked for tips & sent the bag around. Darren & I happened to be sitting in the front seat opposite him. When he received the tip bag full of money back, we watched him take a $10 bill out of the bag, fold it up & keep it for himself. Yep! The tips that were supposed to be split between him & the driver. 🤦‍♀️

I’d now like to share Darren’s philosophy on tipping. “NO ONE has ever given me a tip for saving their life.” Doesn’t that put things into perspective? Saving your life versus refilling someone’s sweet tea. 🤔

After getting back to the port, we did some looking around. They had tons of “fake” Louis Vuittons for sale. (This made me even more sick because fakes are never in fashion.) 😩

Back on the ship, I loaded up on more meds to make it through the rest of the night. The next day was Cabo San Lucas & I needed to feel better.

In closing, I’m sharing some pics from our 5th day. I know I look exhausted, but at least I was standing upright. (Sometimes that’s all I can ask for when my sinuses are so bad.) 🤧

Hey ya’ll!! It’s me again & I’ve managed to grab a few minutes to write. Let’s continue with the story…

Easter Sunday arrived & it was finally our day to board the ship. Since our sketchy hotel was close to the port, we could see it from our room. Telling you it’s GIGANTIC doesn’t really make you understand. Since Darren had never been on a cruise before, he couldn’t understand it until he was standing right beside it. It holds 4000 guests, 1716 crew & has 19 decks. (What a great first ship to take an introvert on…) 🤭

A lot has changed since my last time cruising, but some things are still the same. There’s still sun, fun & as much food as you can eat. (Boy, did we eat!!!) 😳

I had talked Darren into bringing some dress shirts & shorts/pants for a fancy dinner every night. (I know the words “dressy” & Darren don’t belong in the same sentence, but he did it for me.) 😉 Our very first night, we went to one of the main dining rooms for a 3-course meal with the white table cloths & all the silverware. I did not know it at the time, but Darren had never been to a fancy restaurant that served 3-course meals. This was his first time. Unfortunately, our head waiter WAS NOT up to par with head waiters I’ve had in the past. 😔 I will say that this was my first time on Norwegian. All of my other cruises were on Royal Caribbean. (There is a difference…) So, this was our last time in the main dining room on this cruise. All those little dresses I brought just hung there in the closest for the next 6 nights all by themselves. BUT, Darren still wore some of his dress clothes when we went for dinner. (He’s blossoming. Don’t let him try to tell you otherwise.) 😂

We had 2 beautiful days at sea before making it to our first stop. Puerto Vallarta. As we pulled into the port, the very first thing I see is the Walmart & Sam’s Club. Nothing says “Welcome to Mexico” like a Walmart. 😂

We had booked a shore excursion that included a tour of the island. I would just like to point out a few things we discovered in Puerto Vallarta:

1. As of January, it is against the law to have e-cigarettes in Mexico. (I guess Fentanyl=ok. E-cigs=jail time-Priorities…) 🤦‍♀️

2. There are pharmacies EVERYWHERE!! You DO NOT have to have a prescription from a doctor. You can walk right in & buy a z-pack if that’s what you need. And I’m not talking like a couple CVS or Walgreens in every city. I’m talking every few feet.

3. In the city hall, you better know EXACTLY how much toilet paper you need before you go into the restroom because you can only get it at the entrance. No toilet paper in the stalls & no seats on the toilets. (Things we take for granted, huh?) 😬

After our tour, we made our way back to the ship. It was time for lunch & we were hungry.

I guess this is a good stopping point in the story. I’m attaching a ton of pictures we took the first few days on the ship along with pics from Puerto Vallarta. (Stay tuned! Our next stop is Mazatlan.) 😊

You will see a picture of “Spike”. I’m sure that’s not the man’s real name, but that’s what we called him. This guy was all over the ship & traveling alone. I felt so sorry for him & I don’t even know him. I can’t imagine going on a cruise alone.

I hope each of you have a wonderful week! Let’s talk again soon!

04/14/2026

Well, I’m still alive.

As of Sunday, we were returned to the good ole US of A by Norwegian Cruise Lines. Sun-kissed, felt about 10 pounds heavier from all the food, but all in one piece. Although my legs look like the sun raked its jagged teeth up & down them instead of kissed them, but whatever… I’m sure that will work itself out in no time. 🤷‍♀️

Contrary to Vegas odds, Darren survived his first cruise. About a week before we left, he was growing antsy about the inside cabin we had booked. I found a little fan on Walmart.com for the room & let’s just say that fan was worth every cent of the $20 I paid for it. (5 stars!!-highly recommend!!)

Since I was a little girl, it has always been a dream of mine to go to Los Angeles. At 54 years old, I finally made it.

We left for our trip last Saturday. We flew in a day early because we didn’t want to take a chance on flights being cancelled & missing our boat.

The LAX airport is HUGE!! After picking up our luggage, we took a shuttle to the Uber station where we were taken to the not so world famous Vagabond Inn close to the port. I picked that hotel because they offered a free shuttle to the port the morning of the cruise. NO WHERE on Hotels.com did it mention they specialized in “weekly rentals”. 😩 Based on the severely worn stickers on the drawers of the dresser in our room, Rowdy & Maria once spent some time there. I’m not sure what happened in their relationship that caused them to move out. Maybe they broke up, ran out of money or just moved on to bigger & better things. I just can’t be sure. 🤷‍♀️

After getting everything situated, we walked to McDonald’s for lunch where I was met with a gigantic surprise. Contrary to what the news tells us about California, they had PLASTIC straws!! Although they did have one of the most confusing trash systems I’ve ever seen. In Tennessee, we just eat at a fast food restaurant and then throw our trash away in one big trash can. In California, you’ve got options. One for compost, one for recycling & one for garbage. Thank goodness they had pictures of what everything was or I would’ve been lost.

The rest of the day was uneventful. After dinner & a walk, we settled in for a good nights sleep. We had to get ready since Sunday began our 7-day cruise to Mexico.

Now, ya’ll know I’ve got stories & pictures to share with you, but those are gonna have to be broken up into different posts. (Way too much for just one.) So, I’m gonna stop right here.

I’m attaching pics from that first day. The first is a picture of Mount Hood from the plane as we were leaving Oregon. (Yep! That’s snow still on the top.) The rest are self explanatory.

Hope ya’ll had a great week while we were away in all that sunshine. Let’s talk soon.

04/04/2026

Well, I’m still alive…barely!
(And I do mean BARELY this time!!) 😳

Picture it.
Monday morning.
Darren had left for work & there I was at home with all those dang animals we have. Gary the Gardner had spent the weekend with us getting the garden ready for planting. He was sitting on our sectional, watching his phone & drinking his coffee. I walk into the living room & I notice all 3 horses grazing so beautifully in the grass…on the WRONG side of the fence!!!! Oh S**T!! The horses got out!! 🤬

Now, what in the HECK am I gonna do??? After I share my newfound information with Gary, he jumps up, knocks his coffee onto the floor 🤦‍♀️ & says that we have to go get them back in. I’m sure there was a look of confusion on my face. How in the world would we do that? Maybe I could just walk up to them, crook my finger & direct them back into the barn. (Unfortunately, that wasn’t anything close to what actually happened…) 😒

As Gary & I slowly got closer to the horses, they start walking away from us. This happened with several starts & stops. Not knowing how long this dance would continue, I walked into the barn & put some grain in one of their pans. They LOVE grain. Surely they’d just walk right back in. Nope. They sure didn’t. Actually, they stopped walking & took off running away from us.

One horse ran straight to the highway. I could see the semi coming at about the same time as the horse. I thought for sure they both would meet in the middle at the exact same moment, but they did not. Gunner did continue to run away from Gary further & further down the highway. I had no idea how we would get him back.

But, I couldn’t worry about that because the other 2 had taken off through the front orchard. They were clear out of sight-until they weren’t. I looked back up and I could see both of them. They were running side by side at top speed down 2 different rows headed straight for me.

I would like to take this moment to let each of you know that I really like these horses. I have become attached to them since I’ve been in Oregon. I don’t even mind feeding them each day. But, there ain’t no way in HELL-O that I’m gonna stand in front of TWO 1200 pound animals running at me at breakneck speed. So, I did the only thing I could do. I HID behind a hazelnut tree & those 2 horses blew right on past me.

By the time I rounded the tractor shed to try & see where they had ran, I couldn’t see hide nor hair of them. I kept scanning the property closer to the house trying to see if I could catch a glimpse of them. Then, to my left, right there in the barn, there was movement that I caught out of my peripheral. Believe it or not, those 2 horses did all that running to run right back into the barn by themselves. 😳 🤦‍♀️

Gary was still out trying to catch the horse that had ran across the highway. A car had stopped on the road & a Good Samaritan was trying to help. Then, I witnessed something I had never seen. Starlight started neighing for Gunner. (I would’ve said “hollering for Gunner”, but Darren said horses neigh or whinny-whatever…he wasn’t there.) 🙄

Not only did Gunner start hollering back, they were actually taking turns having a full on conversation. Since I don’t speak horse, I can’t be 100% sure what was said, but I can share with you what I THINK was said based on the horses actions during the conversation.

Starlight: Gunner, get your a$$ back in this barn right now just like we just did.
Gunner: (walking back to the barn) Shut up, Starlight! You are not the boss of me.
Starlight: You almost got your fool self ran over. Running across that highway like you knew where you were going.
Gunner: That’s it! I’m coming back to the barn right now & whopping your…

I believe this to be their full conversation because Gunner left Gary the Gardner & the Good Samaritan in the dust & came right back to the barn. I was able to sit the pan of grain down & he started eating. As he ate, I moved it closer & closer to the barn door until I was able to get him back in.

I’m sure each of you reading this is going through a roller coaster of emotions. I feel the same way I did when it happened just reliving it as I’m typing. I told you that story because I wanted each one of you to know. I never dreamed I’d grow up & run a farm, but here I am killing it! Robert Redford ain’t got s**t on me! 😂 🤦‍♀️ 🙄

Needless to say, I didn’t get any pics of the 2026 Great Horse Escape as it was happening, but I’m attaching a pic of Darren & Gary the Gardner in bee suits along with a gigantic snake they found in the yard. 🤦‍♀️(Heavenly days!! Good times…) 😂

Here’s hoping each of you have an amazing weekend! Fingers crossed we do too. As I’m typing this, our plane just landed in Los Angeles. Get ready LA! Here we come! 😉

03/27/2026

Another week is almost over & I thought I’d better catch ya’ll up on the goings on out here in Oregon.

Since it’s been raining off and on, Darren has started painting the inside of the house. When we first moved into the Big House a year ago, he only painted the rooms we were going to be using. He has now got 2 more rooms almost done. The Big House has 4 bedrooms plus another room we use as a guest suite that doesn’t have a closet. (This is exactly where each one of you could stay if you’d just get on a plane & come out here…) 😉

He’s also been using a few of the none windy days to get the orchard sprayed. That takes a little while because there’s so many dang trees!

I’m sure you’re wondering what in the heck I’ve been doing while he’s doing all this work. Never fear. I still have my same daily farm chores as always, but I haven’t been doing much else. I’m not allowed to paint because he says I’m not a very good painter. 😒 (You know that does not hurt my feelings one little bit!) I don’t have time to paint anyways. I’ve been working on getting my Netflix queue smaller. 😂

PLUS, I’ve been getting us ready for our upcoming cruise!! For those of you that have been worried about Darren’s wardrobe in the past, allow me to put your mind at ease. He has purchased new shorts and t-shirts for our trip. (Also new sandals.) He’ll be looking very stylish while we are on the high seas. (Let’s hope he’s looking stylish as I’m WINNING in the ship’s casino…) 🎰 🤞

In closing, I’m posting some pics of the goings on around here. Some before & after pics of the rooms he painted, a pic of how scary he looks while spraying the orchard & pics of our new ranch hand. I’m not sure what the child labor laws are here in Oregon, but our neighbor, Kali, LOVES working on the farm.

Hope ya’ll have a great weekend!
Let’s talk soon. ❤️

03/16/2026

Today I’d like to tell ya’ll about a 1st time. Not just anybody’s 1st time-Darren’s 1st time.

There will be some of you that think this isn’t something that should be spoken about, especially on Facebook. But, I know most of you can remember your 1st time. (Whether you like to talk about it or not is another story…) 😉

The nervousness.
All the unanswered questions.
The not knowing what to expect.
The feeling of forever.

I know some of you may think this is over-sharing, but I feel like this is something y’all need to know. Let’s jump into the story.

Darren asked me where I wanted to go eat dinner. I tried to think of a place that we hadn’t been before. I suggested IHOP. He said he wasn’t in the mood for breakfast. I explained that IHOP has a dinner menu. That’s when I discovered that Darren had NEVER been to IHOP before. 😳 I sure wasn’t gonna let this opportunity pass me by. Off to IHOP we went.

After being seated, I noticed a little placard on the table that stated Tuesdays and Thursdays are “Senior Night”. You order 2 entrees & 2 drinks & get $10 off the bill. As most of you know, Darren turned 55 this past January. Could this be true?

After speaking to our waitress, she confirmed my suspicions. This was going to be Darren’s 1st time receiving a Senior discount. Dang, he’s old…😂 (By the way, this was the “1st time” I was eluding to. I like to think that there weren’t too many of you that thought I was crazy enough to be talking about something else…) 😝 🤦‍♀️

I hate that I didn’t take any pictures of this. That moment should’ve been captured & frozen in time because there will never be another 1st time. (I apologize for dropping the ball on that.) 🙄

Ps: She never asked for his ID. It must’ve been his white hair & goatee that made her trust his word. Also, her turning to me & commenting that it was so sweet to see me spending time with my Dad really made my day.

***Okay, that last part was a lie, but that would’ve been the icing on the cake for me. 😂 😆

In closing, I’m attaching some pics of things that have been going on here this past week. Mostly pics of the lazy cats along with pics of this DELICIOUS sheet pan sausage pepper cheese melt I made. & served with a side of Jasmine rice. (It was to die for!) I’ve got the recipe if anyone wants to give it a try. 😋

Hope each of you have a great week! Let’s talk soon! ❤️
