The series follows Naeemah, a young Black woman raised by white adoptive parents in Massachusetts who transfers to an HBCU in Baltimore in search of her Black identity. There, she finds two women whose post-college struggles mirror her own, set against the backdrop of a city Robinson has made central to the project’s identity.⁠

Leading the room as supervising producer is D. Watkins with staff writers including Tristan “Mack” Wilds, Latasha Mercer, twin writer-producers Nakisha and Nichole Aliece Celistan, Ricardo Spence, and Larry Richardson II.
