Dogs, cookies, family & a museum! What a special week. We broke a record with $$ raised for Hamilton Humane! We made multiple ‘cookie drops’ at race shops (& tried my skills at photography) & was honored to see the latest exhibit at Indianapolis Motor Speedway museum, featuring my firesuit I wore as the first woman to cover the Indy 500 on television from pit road.

Honored is all I can say. Covering the 2004 Indy 500 was a day and broadcast I’ll never forget & one that helped solidify my career in auto racing. So thankful for ABC/ESPN giving me that chance. And now to be part of history is something I never imagined.

To see Paul Page (the voice of the 500 for many years including my first one) & Sally Page (first woman on pit road for radio) was a wonderful surprise this am. And then seeing my ‘FOX Era’ teammates of Georgia, Kevin & producer Pam Miller was special. And having my hubby there to see it with me was ❤️.

Ladies, dream big!!! If I can make it into a museum you can too. Follow your passion, work hard, never give up. 🙌🏼

AXEL! This pup has spent 465 days in the Humane Society for Hamilton County’s shelter in the Indianapolis area. They are desperate to get him out. Even though ‘no kill’ is their mission the truth is animals still face euthanasia if they are declining mentally and/or physically. Every animal has its breaking point. Axel is facing life or death. If you know anyone who could love him as an only dog, with no small children, please call them!
