2024 CWCHS grad Caleb Seibers is having an outstanding summer with the Burlington Bees in Burlington, Iowa. Caleb was recently named a Prospect League All-Star.

Elverado and Christopher-Ziegler Royalton have agreed to a co-op for the upcoming football season. Elverado hasn’t had football since 2013.

The Bulldogs will travel to Christopher in Week 7 on October 10th.

Football has made its way back! We are excited and have made a Co-op agreement with Christopher/ZR. Here is the schedule for workouts. For the time being, transportation to and from workouts is on each family. I suggest car pooling to make it easier. Note that the offensive camp begins Sunday and ends Wednesday. I highly, highly encourage those that are playing, start attending asap and go to the camp. If you have any questions, please reach out to me on my cell, 618/318-2506! If we have enough that want to attend tomorrow, Wednesday, I will meet over at the field with everyone to introduce and make a transition!

Earlier today, senior football player Nolan Aud pledged his oath to serve in the United States Marine Corps while at the Bishop Dullaghan team football camp at DePauw University!

The Carmi-White County Bulldog Football team has been in Greencastle, Indiana this week at DePauw University team camp! It’s the first time the Bulldogs have attented a summer camp as a team since 2016.

The Southern Illinois Coaches Association released their All-South Teams for spring sports late last week, and numerous CWC Bulldogs received All-South nods.

All-South Boys Track:

All-South Baseball:

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 3 out of 4 games this weekend against the Milwaukee Brewers, losing 6-0 on Thursday, losing on Friday 3-2, winning on Saturday 8-5, and losing yesterday 3-2. The Redbirds are now 37-35 and in 3rd Place in the NL Central as they have lost 6 of their last 7 games. St. Louis will begin a 3-game series in Chicago against the White Sox tonight.

The Chicago Cubs took 3 out of 4 this weekend at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates, winning 3-2 on Thursday, losing 2-1 on Friday, winning 2-1 on Saturday, and winning 3-2 yesterday. The Cubs are now 43-28 on the year as they sit in 1st Place of the NL Central, 5 games ahead of Milwaukee. The Cubs will begin a 3-game series at home against Milwaukee tonight.

In the Men’s College World Series, Murray State fell to UCLA on Saturday by a final score of 6-4. The Racers will play Arkansas today in an Elimination Game, the winner will face either UCLA or LSU tomorrow and the loser will go home. Today’s game vs Arkansas will be broadcasted on ESPN at 2 PM.

Back on Friday the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals by a final score of 111-104. The series is now tied at 2-2, Game 5 will be tonight in Oklahoma City, Game 6 will be on Thursday in Indianapolis.
