🚧 Elkhorn Village Modernization Update – Douglas Street Closure 🚧

As part of the ongoing Elkhorn Village modernization project, there will be intermittent closures along Douglas Street starting Friday, October 17, 2025, through Thursday, October 24, 2025.

The closures are needed to complete off-site utility work in the area. Please follow posted detour signs and allow extra time when traveling near the Elkhorn Village School home campus at 750 Cummins Way, particularly during arrival and dismissal times. Pedestrian sidewalks will remain open.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to improve facilities and infrastructure in the Elkhorn Village area.

On 10/10/25, Deputies were notified of multiple FLOCK hits on a stolen vehicle in the Dunnigan area. Deputies arrived and began canvassing the area attempting to locate the stolen vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle as it was pulled over on the side of the road. As a Deputy was attempting to deescalate the situation, the driver who was later identified as Manuel Villareal fled in the vehicle and led Deputies on a pursuit in Dunnigan. Villareal later pulled over and was safely taken into custody. Villareal was arrested for being in possession of a stolen vehicle, felony warrant, evading law enforcement and a new violation of his post release supervision. He was transported, booked and housed at the Yolo County Jail.

On Sunday, October 19, nearly 3,000 triathletes will compete in the 2025 IRONMAN California. The bicycle portion will pass through a portion of the Clarksburg area of Yolo County, beginning in West Sacramento and continuing south along South River Road, Babel Slough Road, and then to State Route 84 (Jefferson Boulevard) into Solano County.
