Su***de prevention can start with a conversation. If you are worried about someone, reach out, ask how they are doing and listen without judgment.

If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988. The 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day. You do not have to be suicidal to reach out.

Throughout September, Yolo County will share practical information about supporting someone who may be struggling, finding help and learning suicide-prevention skills in our community.

Kids grow fast, so give those outgrown clothes second life and get some new-to-you things at the Kids' Clothes Swap in October! If you have clean, gently used kids' clothing and shoes you'd like to trade in, please drop them off at the West Sacramento library (1212 Merkley Ave) by September 30th. Then come back Saturday, October 10, from 10am-1pm to "shop" for free.

You do NOT have to donate to get clothes.

Please no socks or underwear. Please ensure items are clean and in good condition, without holes, tears, or stains.

Anything not taken at the swap will be donated to Empower Yolo.

💦 Westacre Park Spray Ground will reopen today, Wednesday, September 9.

☀️ Due to current weather conditions, spray ground hours at both locations have been temporarily extended:

Wednesday, September 9–Sunday, September 13
⏰ 12–8pm

📍 Westacre Park
1755 Evergreen Ave.

📍 Bridgeway Lakes Community Park
3650 Southport Pkwy.

Regular seasonal hours of 1–7pm resume Monday, September 14.

The final day of the spray ground season is Sunday, September 27.

Hours are subject to change due to drought regulations, weather conditions or safety needs.
