Bridgeville residents will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate their community this summer as the borough marks its 125th anniversary with a week of festivities honoring its past while bringing neighbors together.

The celebration, July 18-26, will feature family activities, entertainment, contests, a carnival, live music and community gatherings designed to showcase what organizers say has made Bridgeville special for more than a century.

A Pittsburgh woman who’s the daughter of a Holocaust survivor will share her father’s life experiences at a program next month in Carnegie.

The program, titled “My Dad’s Story: Remembering the Holocaust with Sue Tresatti and Richard Murphy” will begin at 7 p.m. June 9 at the Music Hall at the Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall, 300 Beechwood Ave., Carnegie.
