Forty minutes and two walkouts later…

I’m amazed that there were only two. Can’t decide if that shows remarkable fortitude or remarkable cowardice.

The Iranian delegation did end up leaving the hall, right before Trump asked the room whether he should "annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly" or "drive them into hell."

So, the “war criminal” moniker is earned.

Trump went on to say a deal would come "right after November's elections." This would be a deal to end the war Congress has already voted three times to end. You would think he’d want to end the war sooner to give the Republicans a better chance? But, as always, Trump can only think of himself.

The Cuban delegation left when he told the General Assembly their government "will fall."

Somewhere in between, he celebrated the capture of Venezuela's president as a highlight reel, announced a "large military presence" on Greenland, then walked off to sign the paperwork with Denmark.

He claimed Gaza was over and Ukraine was close. He said the U.S. would push AI — now branded “super intelligence” — forward rather than "rein it in."

Per the Daily Beast, one head of state was on his phone and a senior diplomat was losing a fight with sleep. Trump knows the feeling.

Last year he asked what the purpose of the United Nations was.

This year the outgoing secretary-general answered him, in his farewell address: superpowers should recognize “that their power isn't so super.”

Because there is power in diplomacy. And Trump is no diplomat.

The Paramount-Warner Bros deal being approved by regulators is a terrible failure.

Corporations and ultra-rich individuals with numerous business interests cannot be trusted to prioritize the public’s right to know over their own bottom lines.

When billionaire conglomerates take control of media, it’s not a win for free speech.
