"I met Saman in the kitchen of a soggy old house on McMasters Street in 2010ish. I was an elite-level townie and he was a sophomore at UNC. My sister threw the houseparty where we met. I recall Saman being bright eyed and peppy, like a brown skinned seltzer.

Later that year I played a show in my sister's dining room with the Virgins Family Band, Saman and Gabe's college band. Two things were obvious: Saman is a chill hang; music brings him joy.

I fell in love with him while recording "A deep clean you can count on!"

Saman is perceptive, sensitive, and deeply intelligent; I feel good about myself when I make him laugh.

I'd trust him with my wallet and my child. I expect we'll be friends until death." -Owen

"Tiny details can sweep me off my feet and take me to other planets, if I let them. As I got older, my tendency to be mentally elsewhere strained my relationships. I didn't like disappointing people that cared about me, but the thought of not being swept away felt claustrophobic and dismal. 🌞 Thanks for welcoming Joe MacPhail and his 3 banger singles under .t. It feels great to put out something other than our usual(and dope) sleeper folk. Joe's an absolute chameleon wizard in the studio and has the special ability to blend and support in any context, even if it means foregoing his ego and personal leanings. With Psyichical he leans in to himself, following his intuition on every sound, lyric, and production/mix decision, and it slaps. Thanks Joe.
