When a medical emergency happens, the first 10 minutes can be critical. Instead of waiting to see if serious symptoms improve, use those minutes to recognize the warning signs, call for help, and get emergency care as quickly as possible.
For example, with symptoms such as sudden chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or signs of a stroke, don’t wait it out at home.
The 10-minute rule is simple: if something feels seriously wrong, don’t spend those minutes hoping it will pass. Spend them getting help.
Because in an emergency, acting quickly can make a difference.
