The Carson City Photography Club meets the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm at the Carson City Sheriff's Office to share photos, learn about basic photo techniques, and to have fun taking pictures.

Happy September everyone! We had a nice "What's in your pack" presentation with Rick Pott. Thanks Rick!
Our theme for September's competition was "Black and White Landscapes". We had so many great submissions it was a challenge to choose! Here are the lucky winners....

The theme for October is "Vintage (more than 30 years old)". Become a member (for only $15 a year) and submit your picture printed 8x10 and matted. Your picture must have been taken within the last year. Come and join the fun!!!

Happy August! I hope everyone is enjoying the last bit of summer!
We had a great meeting last week. Shelly Benge shared her photos of Covid and her documentation of the reactions of the public and compared past pandemics to 2020. It was very interesting to see different points of view and all the crazy things that happened at that time.
The theme for our competition this month was "Desert Flowers". We had so many great submissions! Here are the winners:

Happy July! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th and are enjoying this warm weather!
We had a great meeting this month with Dana Garrett giving a presentation on PhotoShop Masking with Curves. It was very informative and helpful!
The theme for our July photo competition was "Farm Animals". We had 15 great submissions and you can see them all at the Nevada State Museum. The winners are.....

We had a great meeting last week with Dana Garrett giving a presentation on Critiquing Photos.
The theme for our photo competition was "Rim/Back Lighting". There were so many great submissions! These are the winners and there was a tie for 2nd Place:

Hi!

Our theme for the competition in May was "Birds in Flight". It is very hard to get shots of flying birds! All the submissions were amazing! Go check them all out at the Nevada State Museum.

Next month the theme is "Back Light". Become a member (it's only $15 for the year!) and submit your 8x10 photo (taken within the last year) matted 11x14.

We had a fantastic presentation on birds in flight at our meeting this week by Carol Grenier! Here are a few of her photos. As you can see, birds are hard to photograph. Thank goodness for digital cameras! We can shoot many pics with hopes of getting that money shot!! Thanks for all the information Carol! I’m sure we all learned something!

We had a great meeting last night with Carol Greiner and Patrick Pevey giving a presentation on Birds in Flight (which is our theme for our May competition). The theme for April was "Something New" and we had 13 amazing pictures submitted. The winners are....
