⚠️Cartersville Quiet Zone Set to Go Into Effect Monday, November 3πŸš‚

The City of Cartersville has received official notice from CSX confirming the establishment of the Quiet Zone, which will go into effect Monday, November 3, 2025. Once active, train horns will no longer be routinely sounded at the railroad crossings at Carter Street, Cherokee Avenue, Main Street, Leake Street, and West Avenue, except in cases of emergency or when required for safety.

This milestone follows months of coordination and construction at all five crossings to meet federal safety standards. The City recently completed its final walkthrough with CSX and other regulatory partners, marking the final step in the Quiet Zone activation process.
