Couple Suspected Of Homicide In Rome, Arrested In Bartow.

COUPLE ARRESTED AND CHARGED: A 23-year-old man is being charged with murder and a 25-year-old woman is charged with concealing a death after a 20-year-old woman was found dead wrapped in blankets in Rome.

The suspects were arrested following a police chase in north Georgia

The Rome Police Department continues to actively investigate a presumed homicide that occurred in the area of John Graham Homes near Hull Avenue and Cedar Avenue.

We can confirm that the victim is female. During the initial investigation, witnesses reported seeing a red passenger vehicle in the area immediately prior to the discovery of the body, which was covered with blankets.

The identified vehicle was later stopped by the Floyd County Police Department in Bartow County. Two individuals are currently being questioned, along with multiple neighbors in the immediate area where the body was located.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information related to this incident is strongly encouraged to contact the Rome Police Department or call 9-1-1.
