Following last night's cold frontal passage, shower activity diminishes through the morning with highs in the upper 70s to near 80. Temperatures warm Friday ahead of a second cold front that brings showers and storms, and possibly some stronger storms, Friday afternoon through the night. Temperatures cool to well below normal for the weekend with the arrival of dry conditions.

This Saturday night, there will a Saluki Reunion at the Rim. The event was organized by SIU Hall of Famer Jamaal Tatum with proceeds benefitting his nonprofit Athletics Against Substance Abuse. Members from the 2002 and 2007 Sweet 16 teams will be back at Giant City Lodge. The night will feature a dinner, panel discussion, and auction. The featured speaker will be another Saluki Hall of Famer, Chris Carr. River Radio Sports Central caught up with Jamaal to talk about the event.
