A band of storms is about to cross the area, but no warning has been issued. The storms are weakening but we'll still see some lightning. Closest strike to Carthage is 3 miles at this time.

Latest Data from the CT3 Weather Center. 8:30 was the time given by NOAA as peak storm formation. There is a band heading on a Northeast Track, but the threat is expected to start disappaiting around 11 as the cloud cover we've had all day has kept us cooler and the atmosphere more stable. We're keeping an eye on it for now.
