❤️ check: Serving others

Most everyone, even a non-believer, knows that we are supposed to serve others. Be kind, do to others as we want them to do to us.

So why is it that when you see someone you don't personally care for serving people, you want to be angry. Instead of saying, oh, at least they're doing something kind, you instantly want to jump to, "What a hypocrite!"

We are not to judge others, lest we will be judged with the same measure.

We are not to hold unforgiveness if we want to be forgiven.

If we want grace, we have to extend grace.

We should not just assume that people have ulterior motives. We can only see the outward appearance, while the Lord sees the heart.

That all being said, everyone has a purpose and should be allowed to serve if they offer, besides, more help, is generally a good thing. Whether we like it or not, we must let them serve while keeping in mind, not everyone likes working with us either 🤪. You don't have to be besties to help people at the same event.. news flash, you don't even have to talk to everyone who is serving, but you must treat people with love and kindness.

Remember: Jesus invited Judas to serve with him knowing what Judas was going to do in the end.

Whoops, yep, that one hits hard.

Jesus didn't come looking for the good, religious people, he came to seek and save those that are lost. Realize that IF someone shows up at church, or at an event to help, it's not necessarily that they are trying to show out for prestige or honor, they may be showing up because they know they are lost and they're looking for the Savior while trying to help others. The way you respond to their attendance will tell you if you also still need Jesus!

Maybe you should be taking the time to minister to the person you think should be cast out? Help them find the Jesus you say you serve. Remember, ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, even you and me. Jesus cannot clean someone up, until they know to search for him. 🤷‍♀️

Are you judging others, holding unforgiveness, withholding grace, or maybe... behind your mask of who you say or think you are ... you are really Judas?

❤️ check: toxic people / fake people

How many scars have you justified because you love the person holding the knife?

Wow! That one hit hard today. Read it again. Let it sink in.

The bible says we must forgive if we want to be forgiven. The Bible even says to pray for our enemies.

That being said, we have all come in contact with people who wear the mask of "friend" (or worse - family) who obviously don't understand how powerful those relationships should be. We must love them as Jesus instructed, but we must guard our hearts in the process. That might possibly mean that you may have to love some people from a distance so they cannot stab you in the back when you turn around. Pray for God to change their hearts.

Jesus never argued his case. He didn't try to justify what he was doing, but he did not allow them to take him to be crucified until his work here was done.

Be polite... but do not be afraid to stand your ground.

Now, that we have discussed others. Take a good look in the mirror. Are you transparent in your relationships with others? With yourself? Or do you tend to wear a mask?

Before cutting someone off totally, how many times have you come crawling back to Jesus saying "I'm sorry, please forgive me" ? Do know there's a difference between "my-bad" and a real honest apology. One is just words while the other one has action to back it up.

Also, did you take time to think that the toxic person may not love you the way you love them because they have not yet experienced the love of the Father. They may not know what real unconditional love feels like or looks like.

Hmmm, let that sink in. 🤔

Personally: Oh how the Lord works on my ❤️. He has promised to change out this heart of stone and replace it with a heart of flesh. We just have to be willing to accept what that brings with it. Trusting God for discernment in all things. Lord knows I fail miserably daily, but he keeps picking me up and dusting me off. I am thankful for his grace even though I don't deserve it. I pray that zi can shine his light, show his compassion and love, and give grace and forgiveness when faced with challenges.

❤️ check: Snakes (deceptive people)

No one likes being deceived, betrayed, lied to, or like they are in the forefront of someone's schemes. Trusst God, give them over to Him in prayer. Then take your hands off.

Let Go and let God

Thant being said....

Have you checked your own ❤️ for how you might be deceiving others?

❤️ check: Friends vs friendly (polite)

Do you know your personal value or do you rely on others to tell you what your value is?

Sometimes we have a bad habit of looking to others to show us or validate our value. We do things to get praise and recognition. We do things for others so we can feel loved by them. The Bible says if we do things for earthly praise, we receive our gifts here. It is better to do things in secret and to store our treasures in Heaven where they cannot be stolen and will not rot.

What happens when people don't truly appreciate you the way you do them? You give everything you have, drop everything you need to do for yourself and run to help them when they call... just to have them do absolutely nothing in return when you are the one in need of help? The Bible states that we should do things for others without expectation of anything in return.

You have heard people say, you reap what you sow, but what they don't tell you is that you must pay attention to where you sow your seeds. If you sow into the weeds your seed won't grow. The weeds will choke the life out of the seeds.

What does that mean? Not everyone who calls you friend is your friend. A lot of people "loved" Jesus for WHAT he could do for them, not because of WHO he is. Jesus told the story about the Prodigal Son, he had a lot of friends as long as he had money. When the money ran out, his friends ran out on him. People have not changed. Some people truly appreciate you for who you are, they love you unconditionally and are there for you as much as you are for them. They are proud to call you friend. Some people only want you when they want something from you, but they disappear when times get toughfor you. Not everyone wants to publicly acknowledge that they know you. You must pay close attention to who is truly your friend and who just wears a "friend" mask. (Some family members wear masks too, in case you're wondering. )

We have to love people, but we do not have to let them treat us like a door mat. If someone says they love you but they lie to you constantly, that is not love. If someone says they care about you but talk about you behind your back, they don't truly care. If someone only comes around when they want something from you, that is not a friend, that's a beggar with their hand out. If someone is friendly to your face when you're alone but when it comes to a public eye, the refuse to acknowledge you, they're two-faced. Pay close attention to who you allow into your innermost circle.

Now, what kind of friend are you? Are you genuine with everyone, or do you wear a mask when talking to some people? You must be honest with yourself here. It's ok to be friendly in social setting, but being cordial does not mean you are friends.

Jesus loved you enough to die for you. Find your value in him. People will always let you down, whether accidentally or on purpose.

❤️ check: friendship

John 15:15 ESV
[15] No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Jesus says he calls us friends. When you think if a friend, you think if people you hang out with, would drop what you're doing to go help them.

You wouldn't call someone a good friend if you had not spent enough time with them to really know them.

If you're not spending time reading the Bible daily, in prayer, praise, and building a relationship (friendship) with Jesus, why would he call you a friend?

❤️ check: Time

Time is a valuable earthly possession.
Time spent where it's not appreciated is wasted.
Time sown where no good fruit ever shows up is also wasted.
Your time is limited.
Spend wisely so it bears good fruit.

❤️ check: Blinders

Today's scripture really speaks for itself. Read it and let it soak in.

We know that blinders on a horse allows the horse to not be afraid of things to its side. The blinders keep them on task and not easily distracted... so why would we think that the enemy does not use blinders to keep us from seeing the truth?

Satan, the god of this world, uses distractions among other things to hide the truth or to disguise the lies as truth. He wants us to seek personal pleasure instead of seeing what our truth purpose is. He wants to blind us from the truth of our sinful actions because he knows the outcome if we continue to walk his path. It's full of shame, regret, and the end is an eternal firey pit.

Are you easily offended when someone tells you what you're doing is not ok? Especially if you know that person truly has your best interest at heart? Sometimes the truth hurts, but when we accept the truth and step into, confess our sins, the God who spoke life into the universe will speak life into us. He has promised he is faithful to forgive.

On the flip side of that, if you are a believer of Jesus, and someone refuses to hear the truth, know that it is time to pray for Jesus to intercede. As long as they are blinded from the truth, they will not be able to see it or understand what they are hearing and they will become angry. It is our job to plant a seed and then allow God to do the watering and tending.
