Now that we are back to school and routines, it's fun to look back at the amazing summer we had!

One for the books!

Traveling with the kids can come with some challenges, but overall it's the best to experience new countries and cities with them.

Looking forward to the next adventure!

There’s something special about stepping outside of your everyday life and into a place you’ve never been before.

Over the past couple of weeks, we explored 6 countries, wandered through centuries-old cities, cruised across the Adriatic and Mediterranean, laughed until our stomachs hurt, and made memories with some of our favorite people. From quiet morning walks and incredible views to endless gelato stops, late-night conversations, and adventures with our kids, every stop brought something new to appreciate.

Travel has a way of reminding you how big and beautiful the world really is. It stretches your perspective, introduces you to different cultures, and helps you slow down enough to notice the little things, whether it's a hidden alley, a family-run café, or a sunset over a harbor you've only seen in pictures.

I'm especially grateful that our kids are growing up with these experiences. They're learning that the world is full of amazing places, different traditions, and kind people, and that some of life's best lessons happen far from home.

A huge thank you to our wonderful friends for sharing this adventure with us. Traveling together made every experience even more memorable, and I'm already looking forward to wherever we all end up next.

Until the next adventure... ✈️🌍❤️

First day of kindergarten versus last day of 5th grade. Still in disbelief that her elementary School years are behind us now.

She started kindergarten at such a crazy time during covid.... We made the decision that I would homeschool her for kindergarten instead of doing virtual since I was trained to be a teacher and there was no way that I was going to be able to have her on a laptop and be able to keep Lana entertained.

I loved creating experiments and lessons for her to do. She breezed right through all the kindergarten curriculum so that when we went to Texas in January she had already completed all of her lessons and we were able to just enjoy the rest of the year.

First grade she started in Seekonk schools and ended in Fuquay. The transition to elementary school in North Carolina went smoothly, but her first elementary school didn't give her enough of a challenge so we moved to a magnet school for her second grade year.

From 2nd to 5th she was in the same school and loved every second of it. She has blossomed into such a beautiful young lady and has learned new passions, has gotten out of her comfort zone, and challenged herself to do things that she never thought that she would do.

She is such a smart cookie and excelled in all of her academics, but more importantly she is also a kind and good person. She's always the one to help others, make sure that things are fair, when she notices that something is wrong or off she is quick to try to find a solution and fix it.

Beyond proud of her, but wishing time would slow down some!!! Each year feels like it's going by faster and faster and I'm trying hard to soak up every second of it.

Last week, I had the absolute pleasure of working with 9 incredible women from the Razzmatazz Senior Dance Troupe, teaching them two customized makeup looks for their upcoming performances and competition.

Each look was thoughtfully designed to enhance their individual features while still being easy to apply and stage-ready. We focused on techniques that would help their makeup show beautifully under lighting, while also giving them the confidence to recreate the looks on their own.

There’s something so powerful about seeing that shift, when it all clicks, and you not only love how you look, but feel confident doing it yourself.

Whether it’s for a special event, a performance, or simply wanting to feel more polished day-to-day, my makeup lessons are always tailored to you; your features, your routine, and your goals.

If you’re looking to feel more confident and comfortable with your makeup, I’d love to work with you. Message me to book a lesson.

Something beautiful is coming to The Mayton next month.

Glow Together is an intimate Mother & Daughter Beauty Experience and I designed every detail of it with you in mind.

At the heart of it is something I absolutely love: a fully custom foundation, made by you, for you.

You choose your finish, a luminous tinted moisturizer, a natural everyday glow, or a full-coverage statement. We then match the color precisely to your skin tone and blend it to correct dark spots and redness at the formula level. And if you want to go deeper, you'll have the opportunity to add skin-nourishing botanicals that actively support your skin, reducing fine lines and keeping your complexion supple long after the event.

This isn't a foundation you buy. It's one you build.

We'll also move through a guided mini self-facial together, a little moment of calm and care and I'll walk you through skincare tips tailored to different skin types, so you leave genuinely equipped to take care of your skin every day.

Mothers and daughters of all ages are welcome. This is one of those experiences that feels like a gift for both of you.

Spots are limited and I expect this one to fill quickly.

How many foundations have you tried that were almost right... but not quite?

Too orange. Too pink. Too dark in the winter. Too light in the summer. It settles into lines, feels heavy, or leaves that obvious line between your face and neck that no amount of blending seems to fix. Most women have a drawer full of foundations that just didn't work, but we keep trying because we want something that finally looks natural.

The truth is, most foundations are mass produced to fit the majority. But your skin isn't the majority. Your skin tone, undertone, texture, and coverage needs are completely unique.

That's why I create custom foundations. Each one is blended specifically for you to match your skin tone perfectly, work with your skin type, and give you the coverage you want without looking heavy or unnatural. No guessing shades. No wasting money on products that sit in a drawer. Just a foundation that blends seamlessly and actually feels good on your skin.

You deserve more than "close enough." You deserve something made just for you.

If you're tired of searching for the right foundation, I'd love to help you finally find it. Message me to book your custom foundation appointment.
