The first mum of the season.🌼 Summer lingers and autumn slowly begins to make itself known. 🍂
The garden is still lush and green, the roses are still blooming, and summer hasn’t gone anywhere just yet, but Fall is slowly creeping in. 🍁 Are you here for it? Or are you holding onto Summer?

Easing into this whole empty nest thing.🪹 All my favorite distractions just went off to college & California. 😢 Now what? Truth is I have a ton of things I need to do in a day, from work to home projects. I’m hoping to try and add a little more time for myself back into my day.📚 Looking forward to finishing all the books I started. First, I need to get into my gardens! They have been neglected. I think I’ll start there. 🌿

Ok Alma, let’s do this! Alma Mater welcomes her students with open arms each year. She’s a cherished landmark on the campus of University of Illinois Champaign Urbana. I’m thrilled to have another four years to visit this beautiful campus. So happy for my girls, (one’s a graduate and one’s a freshman 🧡💙) Wishing everyone’s kids, from preschool to college, and everything in between, a very successful “back to school” 📚🚌📖

I know I’m going to miss my roses when they’re gone, but for some reason I can’t stop thinking about mums 🌼 Looking forward to refreshing the patio soon with them. Until then, I’ll enjoy the last flush of these beauties. 🌹

🌊🐚🇺🇸Craving that Northeast, Nantucket, Cape Cod life lately. No blue hydrangeas here, but plenty of white Annabelle’s that will brighten up my home. I paired them with my vintage planters filled with years of shell collecting along the southern beaches. Now, I’m off to find a comfy pillow to add to the couch. 🛋️
