📰 People Behind the Pulse

Real people. Real stories. A real connection to the communities we serve. ❤️

Meet Kimlye Steger, Reporter & Social Media Manager!

Kimlye is out in the community finding the stories that matter, connecting with local people and helping bring those stories to you across our platforms.

Because local journalism is about more than headlines — it’s about real people telling real stories about the place we call home. 🏡

Get to know Kimlye below! 👇

1. Why are you passionate about local journalism? I am passionate about telling peoples' stories. I enjoy hearing the reasons behind why people do what they do, whether it's hosting an event or creating a piece of artwork. It's a great way to share local stories with the community that might not otherwise be told. I hope to bring a bit more joy, accurate and responsible information and more to my local Pinal County communities. 📸

2. What do you like most about your job? I enjoy attending events and meeting new people along with greeting familiar faces. I like to support local communities and those within it. I also like learning new aspects about my job and finding creative ways to keep people engaged, especially through our social media pages. I am grateful to have a job that keeps me learning and growing as an individual, personally and professionally. 🙏🏻

3. Why do you like Pinal County? I grew up in a rural community in Idaho, so moving to Pinal County - where I've lived, worked and played for the past five years - was a smooth transition. It's definitely still a challenge living in the heat, but it has many businesses, restaurants and more across the county to keep one busy. I believe this county has much to offer families and individuals. We may want more things, and we might get them in time, but it's also great to support what's available now whether created by a local family or a large company. This county has wonderful people that I'm glad to know across cities. 💝

4. What do you like to do in your free time here? I've learned over the years that some passions don't always stick with you, but some can grow stronger or you find other things to be passionate about. I'd say, currently, I enjoy listening to all different kinds of music, traveling around to experience events, visiting local businesses and spending time with my many pets to name a few. I can't wait for the cooler weather! 🧭🍂
