Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there - especially my dad, Mark O’Neal. Here’s 3 generations of dudes named Mark O’Neal, coincidentally matching. I’m lucky to have these two in my life. One I’ve celebrated my whole life, and one who is the reason I’m celebrated today. I love them both immensely.

A year ago, I bought this bottle of SFTB (and a relatively high proof offering of this variety) for a very specific event. That event finally came to fruition yesterday. So tonight, we celebrate with a couple of special bottles from the collection. Cheers friends!

Stoked for the guys in on the release of their video for “When I Go Out”. Working with these guys was a blast, and I am really happy with how this came out. Thanks again to for mastering this, and thanks to the guys in Morning News for trusting in me to bring their musical vision to life.

Really excited to share the songs I had the pleasure of producing, engineering and mixing for these guys. knocked the mastering out of the park. This was one of those projects that never felt like work because the songs were so good and enjoyable to listen to, and everyone involved came prepared to knock out their parts and have a great time. Looking forward to doing it again!

Posted • Hello everyone! We’re delighted to announce that our new band name is Morning News. After quite a bit of thought, we no longer feel that the name The Caroliners reflects our music or our artistic vision.

We spent our time during the pandemic recording, filming, shooting, and designing content we believe you’ll love. We had the pleasure of working with Chase O’Neal at and couldn’t be happier with the two songs we chose to mark the beginning of Morning News. “When I Go Out” will be released on July 9th and “Love Me at Nighttime” will be released on August 6th, along with two accompanying music videos. We are incredibly excited to share them with you!

None of this would have been possible without the support of the wonderful musicians involved. A massive thank you to (bass), (keys), and (trumpet), for knocking it out of the park. And another massive thank you to Chase for bringing these songs to life.

Great hangs this week with Ryan Martinie, Bon Lozaga and Mitch Hull of Soften The Glare while recording their upcoming EP. And a pleasure getting to meet Nickel Us John as he documented the whole process. There is a lot of sonic territory covered in these songs, and the footage Nick captured looks amazing! Many thanks to Jamie King for lining this up - he’s going to knock the mix and master out of the park on these songs, per usual.
