Bioskope Films is dedicated to promote Bengali Films from young and upcoming Directors of Kolkata and Dhaka who are striving to create an atmosphere of progressive quality films that depict the reality of our society. Bioskope Films would like to promote creative movies that strengthens the social consciousness through their message, as well as films made with pure but healthy entertaintment in m

ind. Bioskope Films intends to procure, promote, market and organize screenings of these movies at theaters at multiple cities across North America. We are also committed to host a Bengali Film Festival in North America in conjunction with our affliated Film Societies every year, where a platform will be provided to the young film students and directors from Bengal, residing at home and abroad, to showcase their Short Films, Documentaries as well as Feature Films. Just watched ROID.
I’m surprised, proud, and ecstatic to have a talented, feminist, super creative director such as Mezbaur Rahman Sumon among us.
ROID is religiously local, raw, honest, and true to ourselves, our emotions, culture, society, identity.
The landscape of beautiful Bangladesh, our folklore, the sounds of Bangla, are all wound profoundly by the director and brilliantly put forward by the artists.
Very silly of me, but I kept thinking to myself, if PARASITE could win an oscar in best original screenplay or best international feature film, ROID deserves the same, if not more.
