Look y’all… it’s finally a fall project! 🍂

I made these adorable woodland wood slice ornaments tonight and filmed the how-to video while I was creating them. I’m putting together a sped-up version so you can see just how easy they are to make.

These little cuties are perfect for adding a cozy touch to your fall décor or tucking into a gift basket, hostess gift, or thoughtful handmade present.

I promise I’ll circle back to fall soon—there are plenty of cozy autumn projects waiting their turn!

For this piece, I gave a well-loved old window a second life using Wheels of Time, one of my favorite classic Decoupage Fibers from Redesign with Prima. I love rescuing forgotten treasures and turning them into something beautiful again.

I spent the evening playing with resin and the Golden Solstice Decor Mould, and I think I’m hooked!

I created a black sample for the mould display at the shop, but this off-white picture frame quickly became my favorite. I’ve wanted to try wrapping a mirror or picture frame with resin castings for quite a while, and I’m so glad I finally gave it a try.

After painting the frame in a soft off-white, I highlighted all of the beautiful details with Redesign with Prima’s Cosmic Ray Gold Wax. If you ask me, it’s less of a true gold and more of a gorgeous antique copper-champagne finish—and it’s absolutely stunning.

I love how elegant this looks with just one paint color and a little wax. It’s proof that you don’t need complicated techniques to create a high-end, heirloom-inspired finish.

Now I’m already dreaming about wrapping an entire mirror with these gorgeous moulds. I think it would make quite the statement piece!

Don’t get me wrong—I love summer. But I love my craft room even more, and I can’t wait to get back to creating.
