Some weeks feel like waiting. Others feel like finishing.
Now comes the waiting to hear if they made it into the exhibition. 🤍

While I waited, I turned back to the studio… and finished this large moose from my Royal Lounge series. What began as quiet layers became something steadier—restful, grounded, complete.

This season of my work feels less about rushing forward and more about trusting what unfolds in between. One piece finished. One opportunity in motion. Both held with care.

If you’ve been following along, thank you for being here in the in-between with me.
Tell me—do you feel more drawn to the bold palette pieces or the quiet strength of the moose?

Do you know about the Japanese concept of shibui?

It’s about finding beauty in simplicity. It seems fitting in Winter when landscapes tend to be a little more understated and a quiet settles in after the big holiday season.

It can also be a decor concept. One meaningful artwork can bring a lot to the places you hold dear.

I hadn’t been in my mom’s home in years.
I had never seen this chair before.

But when I walked into her bedroom, I stopped.

It felt… familiar.

Almost like something I’ve been painting my way toward without realizing it.

It can take time for an artwork to sink in.

The more you think about it, the more you notice.

Another trip around the sun can feel the same way. As the year settles behind you, certain things come into focus.

What became clearer for you this past year?

Take a peek at “Adventurous" and see what it reveals.

As the year winds down, I’ve been thinking back on 2025. I've loved sharing my art with this community.

I’d love to hear about one of your favorite memories from this year (art related or otherwise.)

This piece isn’t finished yet — and that’s okay.

I had to pause for the holidays, and for a long journey to Massachusetts to care for my mom after a bad fall. Life asked for my full attention, and I listened.

This painting will be finished when I return home, in time for submission to the Florida Palette exhibition. It knows where it’s going — it’s just resting in the in-between.

Sometimes the most meaningful progress is knowing when to pause.
