Our Pink Friday event runs from 4:00-8:00. Bring your whole family and help us kick off the season in Cave City. After the tree lighting, grab some dinner, and make your way through the Pink Friday Passport locations! Our local businesses have been busy creating open houses, holiday fun, and great shopping all over town.

You can pick up a blank passport at any participating business. One completed Pink Friday passport will be drawn live Monday at 10:00 am and they will win our Grand Prize basket valued at $1,600.

Caveman Broadcasting Students with Caveman Radio and TV were some award winning folks for the month of April!! FIRST: April 1th At the SkillsUSA State Championships - We took 14 students to Hot Springs and they competed in 5 different competitions. We medaled in two: Broadcast TV News - our team of Chris Bunch, John Payton, Savannah Barnett, and Tyler Freeman earned silver medals, coming in second in the state. Then Cayden Burrow earned a Gold Medal in the Job Skill Demonstration contest, his second year in a row to compete in this contest, coming in fourth last year. All five students picked up scholarships and prizes. Then on April 22nd we held our Annual Caveman Radio/TV Skills Awards. Many students earning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies for this year's efforts. Our top three awards went to Ithyca Bacon for the Big D MVP, Chris Bunch earned the Dave Fisher Legacy Award and Samuel Sanchez was our Caveman Radio Broadcaster of the Year. Finally on Friday April 26th it was the Great ASTATE Media Fest! Students submitted various radio and tv projects and College students and instructors judged their works. The live streaming award show was held Friday the 26th and the following Cave City Broadcasting Students earned these honors: Caveman Radio swept the Audio Voice Talent (Radio Show) category with Ithyca Bacon earning the Bronze, Chris Bunch earning the Silver and Ian Sanders picking up Gold. This is the third year in a row that Caveman Radio has swept this category. Chris Bunch earned a Gold award for Audio Spot. Kaytlin Arnold picked up a Silver award for Long Form Audio (Podcast) Ian Sanders got an Honorable Mention in Video Spot The team of Chris Bunch, John Payton, Savannah Barnet and Tyler Freeman earned a Bronze in Live Multi-cam for their tv newscast. Honorable Mentions went to Hunter McCain, Braden Simmons, Alek Westmoreland and Ashley Allen for Audio Voice Talent Allison Kittrell and Matthew Sullivan also got Honorable Mentions for their
