‼️ Road Closure 04/10/2025 ‼️

Beginning Thursday morning, 04/10, Union St. will need to be closed to through traffic from Main St. to almost Dormitory St. We have a sewer issue in the area of the red square that requires a road cut.

Unfortunately this means no through traffic until maybe noon, including the drive through at City Hall, because there will be no outlet for traffic there.

If you have business at City Hall during this time, please park across the street at the library, or along Main St. in one of our two front parking spots. You can also park along the sidewalk, next to the Veterans Monument Park and towards the pool, if you’re able and don’t mind a little stroll up Main St.!

Thanks for your patience as we get this issue corrected. We will go as quickly as we can.

On Monday March 31st our Caveman Baseball team will host Yellville with game time at 4:30 PM. This will be the first extracurricular event held at CC School since the storm. Prior to the game the Cavemen would like to recognize law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, city, local, state officials, and all volunteers who helped with the storm efforts. We ask that anyone who can attend to please do so!

Important!

Volunteers: If you want to volunteer to help in Cave City, you MUST report first to the Cave City Middle School parking lot, where a team will take your information and direct you on where best to help. You must do this first.

Welfare Checks or Missing Persons: please call Sharp County Dispatch at 870-994-2211 so that it can be recorded and properly handled.

Media Requests: come to the Cave City Middle School and touch base with our team there.

Please remember to stay away from damaged areas and let the professionals we have here do their job. Thank you for your cooperation and prayers.

Friends. Due to conditions on our dirt roads and some side roads, there will be no school at Cave City on Monday. We will make up tomorrow by attending on Friday, March 17th. It is likely that we will have school on Tuesday using bus driver discretion.
Mr. Wilson will use our page to post what bus routes will be impacted on Tuesday. As always, we respect any parent/guardian’s right to keep their student home on Tuesday in an abundance of caution if your road is questionable. We also acknowledge that our not having school is a hardship for parents needing for us to watch their kids while they are at work. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we focus on student and employee safety above all else. Thank you for your continued support.

Cave City Schools will be closed tomorrow (Friday) due to weather moving in tonight. We will make this day up by attending on Presidents Day (February 17th). We have also canceled our home basketball games scheduled tonight against Flippin. Those games have been rescheduled for January 27th at 5:00. We do plan on staying all day today, but we have canceled all after school activities in an abundance of caution.
We hope that everyone has a safe weekend and hope to be back in school as soon as possible next week.
