Dharma Publishing Founded by Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche, we've been promoting and preserving Tibetan culture since 1975

Dharma Mudranalaya, doing business as Dharma Publishing and Dharma Press, was founded by Tarthang Tulku to protect the Tibetan heritage. It began operations in 1963 in Varanasi, India, and continues since 1971 in California, and now based at our own home at Ratna Ling, California, about three hours north of San Francisco. Since its beginning, Dharma Publishing has been the biggest publisher of Tib

etan Buddhist texts in the world, primarily because of its phenomenally large production of Tibetan texts for the Tibetan communities in exile. In addition we have over 125 titles in the English language, plus thirty-three books for children, called Jatakas. All books and art have been printed by Dharma Press also located at Ratna Ling. We are a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the culture of Tibetan Buddhism while contributing to the Western understanding of mind, well-being and human potential. All gross income is wholly dedicated towards the preservation of the Tibetan heritage, mainly in the purchase of printing paper. Learn more how you can get involved – [email protected]

Our head office is located in Cazadero, California, at the Ratna Ling Retreat Center, about three hours north of San Francisco, and our sales office in 2210 Harold Way, Berkeley. There are satellite offices in Durham, North Carolina; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Cologne, Germany; Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Sacred Dimensions of Time and Space
By Tarthang Tulku

The fifth book in Tarthang Tulku's Time, Space, and Knowledge series, Sacred Dimension of Time and Space takes a slightly different tack than its predecessors, bringing out the sacred and transformative charter of knowledge that opens up our traditional understanding of identity, seeing and being, an ingrained understanding in which what we know we are appears as a "figure" on a "ground", or an object in a containing space.

K*m Nye Tibetan Yoga
By Tarhang Tulku

When Tarthang Tulku began working intensively with Westerners in the early 1970s, he discovered that many of them struggled with the stillness of meditation and seemed disconnected from the vital energies of their own bodies. To develop a structured way to help these students gain a foundation of ease and relaxation, he drew upon his own background, designing exercises and methods of self-massage based on the training he received as a young lama in Tibet.
The result is k*m nye.
