Rubber band painting is a great process art activity that focuses on the experience, not the outcome.

Kids are developing:
• hand strength + coordination
• creative confidence
• sensory awareness

…and you get less mess inside. Win win.

Scissor practice is the superior way to use up Mardi Gras beads for kids! I like to take it a step further and add some math too. Measuring is a critical math skill so the more you practice it the better.

Realized as my boys were going to bed that yesterday was fat Tuesday, and we didn’t celebrate Mardi Gras at all this year! Luckily I still have a bag of beads I can pull out and we can do this with :)

It’s your bouncy egg, your rules! 🥹🤣

Benji has been asking to do this one for a while and was soooo excited to try it! The vinegar causes the eggshell to dissolve, leaving behind a semipermeable membrane. If you then place the bouncy egg in water, water will move through the membrane by osmosis, making the egg swell! Such a FUN way to explore cause and effect and introduce a lot of science vocabulary words 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

2 0 2 5 - the year we moved ✨back✨ to Festival City, USA
(We also lived here from 2016–2020)!!

Settling back into the place we brought both of our babies home to has been a plot twist. Familiar and new all at once.

So very grateful to live family nearby in this season! Here’s hoping this year is the part of the story where you feel pulled backward…but you’re actually an arrow being drawn, getting ready to soar forward.
