Out of Focus Entertainment Productions was formed with the vision of creating quality and entertaining DJ and Karaoke shows at an affordable price. As the company has grown since its inception in 2008, the vision

has since extended into becoming a complete entertainment and event planning services organization. Based out of the Chicago area, Out Of Focus Entertainment has over 15 years experience in it's disc jockeys, karaoke jockeys, MC's/hosts & ancillary services personnel. Our experience has ranged from small private events, to bars/clubs, to mega weddings & corporate events. Another Out of Focus Entertainment 2025 Holiday Season event!

This past weekend we had the privilege of providing entertainment for a Toys for Tots fundraising event. Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a national organization dedicated to supporting their mission of bringing joy and holiday relief to disadvantaged children.

This local event was put together by the Fearless Vipers Bike Club which is a youth based, anti-bullying organization in the Chicagoland area that also conducts toy drives and community outreach.

This event brought us to the brand new Rooftop Johnny's in Palos Heights, IL . While their rooftop itself is closed for the season, the indoor space more than delivered. The awesome staff went all in on their holiday decor, creating a warm and festive environment that set the perfect tone for this event.

With an audience ranging from small kids to adults, this event definitely kept us on our toes. We dug deep into our kid-friendly catalog, mixed in holiday favorites, and sprinkled in some adult requests to keep everyone engaged. It made for a very fun night, and honestly, it was a blast for us too getting to play a wide variety of music we don’t typically get to play at a typical event.

As you can see from the mountain of donated gifts, which actually only shows a portion of them, the community absolutely showed up. Huge success! Out of Focus Entertainment is proud to be a part of this event during this season of giving!

👻 Another Halloween Event in the Books! 👻

This past weekend, Out of Focus Entertainment had the pleasure of providing the Town of Cedar Lake Parks and Recreation annual Trunk or Treat event at the Cedar Lake Town Grounds

This family-friendly community event brings together local businesses who hand out candy to hundreds of excited kids decked out in their best Halloween costumes. There was even a kids’ costume contest, and the creativity this year did not disappoint, the winners looked awesome!

This event was held outdoors across a large area, which can be a challenge when it comes to providing clear audio coverage. But that’s where Out of Focus shines! Our multi-speaker line array system with multiple subwoofers delivered full, even sound across the grounds. This system pushes up to 15,000 watts of peak power!

As a licensed, insured vendor, Out of Focus Entertainment meets all municipal and government event requirements, making us a trusted partner for public events hosted by these municipalities and government agencies across the area.

Halloween Holiday Themed Parties!

Out of Focus Entertainment had the pleasure of bringing the party to Bugaboo's bar and grill in Cedar Lake, Indiana this past weekend for their annual Halloween Party!

We’ve had the pleasure of being rebooked for this event multiple years in a row now, and every year it’s an absolute blast.

For this event, Out of Focus Ent. provided a full mobile DJ, sound, and lighting setup, packing as much professional-grade energy as we could into a compact space and creating an atmosphere that kept the crowd going all night long.

Of course, we got into the Halloween spirit ourselves too; showing up in a costume as none other than DJ Marshmello!

Another Beautiful Wedding!

Out of Focus Entertainment had the honor of hosting another incredible wedding celebration this month in Hanover Township of Northwest Indiana.

Our amazing bride and groom created their dream wedding from the ground up, transforming their own property into a stunning venue complete with a ceremony site, a massive reception tent, and a even a checkered dance floor for 200+ guests.

For their ceremony, Out of Focus Entertainment provided our flat-rate Ceremony Package, featuring professional sound, wireless microphones, and curated music, custom chosen by our bride and groom, for their vows.

For their reception, Out of Focus Entertainment brought the party, providing our Diamond Reception Package, complete with a sound system that made rocked the tent and our concert/festival inspired, professional grade lighting rig to create that atmosphere that kept the dance floor going from the first song to the end of the night .

Out of Focus Entertainment hosted am 80's prom themed corporate event this past weekend, coordinated by our friends at Magnificent Events in the Grand Ballroom of the beautiful Hyatt Regency Chicago-Downtown

For this event, Out of Focus Ent. provided a modified version of our Gold DJ package, which provided plenty of sound and effects lighting on the 30 foot stage we were set up on to fill the entire ballroom!

We have done many different style themed events similar to our 80s theme at this event, from the 20s, to disco, 90s, glow parties, country and western, our experience and vast knowledge and love for all styles of music makes us versatile to all kinds of themes!

This past weekend, Out of Focus Entertainment had the honor of celebrating more love with another wedding at The Barn & Vineyard in Beecher, Illinois

The ceremony was held outdoors in the vineyards, where we provided our Ceremony Services Package to our client, complete with professional microphones and perfectly cued music selected and customized by our bride and groom

Guests then moved inside the rustic reception hall, where, like most do once they see what the package includes, our bride and went all-out with our Platinum Wedding Reception Package. Then it was up to us to deliver the detail, energy, and professionalism that keep the celebration going strong all night long!

Out of Focus Ent. had the pleasure of hosting another beautiful wedding this past weekend, this one at Starved Rock State Park in the City of Oglesby, Illinois

Our client had their wedding ceremony outdoors overlooking the valleys of the state park and chose to have our services at their ceremony providing music and microphones for it. This is a flat rate package that we offer our wedding clients on an add on to their reception DJ package.

For their reception, our clients spared nothing and went for our Platinum Reception DJ services package (minus a front facade due to space constraints), which includes all of our reception services with BIG sound and BIG lighting, and as you can see, it created such a vibe in the dancing room that the dance floor was nonstop from start to finish!

Out of Focus Entertainment loves helping make memories happen, and this weekend we had the honor of being part of a private surprise birthday celebration at the Balagio in Mokena Banquet Room in Mokena, IL.

As with every event we do, big or small, we worked closely with our client, this event being the birthday girl’s husband, to make every detail perfect. From cocktail hour and dinner music, to getting guests out on the dance floor, we tailored the night with our client to create an unforgettable experience.

As an extra surprise, an Italian singing duo was even hired to perform live dinner entertainment with even a special song for the guest of honor, with Out of Focus Ent. providing sound and microphone support. That’s the versatility we bring to every event!

This event was also unique because we had only a very small setup area to work with. Thanks to great communication with our client, we created a compact DJ setup with just the right amount of power and lighting to keep the party going all night in that small space alotted for us

This annual nationwide event is all about bringing the community together for a night of connection, safety, and fun. Families enjoyed vendor booths, kid-friendly activities, K9 and drone demonstrations, and even a chance to take a dip in the pool!

Out of Focus Ent. had the honor this past weekend of hosting an event at the beautiful Villa Cesare Events & Banquets in Schererville, Indiana that marked a huge milestone in our client's life: Their 75th birthday!

This event was a smaller, informal event which only required a small and basic DJ, sound, and lighting setup with a wireless microphone for some speeches, announcements, and of course, singing Happy Birthday!
