Steak recipe :
Recipe: Tender and Flavorful Steak Marinade
Ingredients:
1. Steak (Ribeye, Sirloin, or Tenderloin): 2 pieces (about 200-300 grams each)
2. Olive oil: 3 tablespoons
3. Soy sauce: 3 tablespoons
4. Balsamic vinegar: 2 tablespoons
5. Honey: 1 tablespoon
6. Garlic: 3 cloves (minced)
7. Rosemary: 1-2 sprigs (use the leaves)
8. Thyme: 1-2 sprigs (use the leaves)
9. Black pepper: 1 teaspoon (crushed)
10. Sea salt: 1 teaspoon
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Marinade:
• In a medium bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, rosemary leaves, thyme leaves, crushed black pepper, and sea salt. Stir well to combine.
2. Marinate the Steaks:
• Place the steaks in a zip-lock bag or a shallow container.
• Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are well-coated. Seal the bag or cover the container, then gently shake or mix to ensure even coating.
3. Refrigerate:
• Marinate the steaks in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. For best results, marinate overnight (8-12 hours) to allow the flavors to pe*****te the meat thoroughly.
4. Bring to Room Temperature:
• Before cooking, remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.
5. Cook the Steaks:
• Heat a skillet or grill over high heat and add a little oil.
• Cook the steaks for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
6. Rest the Steaks:
• After cooking, let the steaks rest on a cutting board or plate for at least 5 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, ensuring a tender and juicy steak.
Tips for Perfect Steaks:
• Choose High-Quality Meat: Opt for steaks with good marbling (fat distribution) for enhanced flavor and tenderness.
• Avoid Over-Marinating: While it’s beneficial to marinate, too long in acidic marinades can break down the meat fibers excessively.
• Use a Meat Thermometer: For precise cooking, use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. (Rare: 125°F/52°C, Medium Rare: 135°F/57°C, Medium: 145°F/63°C, Medium Well: 150°F/66°C, Well Done: 160°F/71°C).
• Cut Against the Grain: Slice the steak against the grain to ensure tenderness.
Enjoy your tender and flavorful steak!
