My childhood home, where memories were made. Daddy, Mama, my younger sister and I turned 4 simple rooms into a lifetime of experiences. Though it's gone, the rock outline remains, a symbol of the past. As the last one left, I'm embracing the opportunity to write the next chapter, carrying the memories forward.

My little sister riding Fluffy. I remember this day so well. Daddy hooked Fluffy up to the old time horse plow. He had me go out and plow the garden. Now looking back I’m sure it was to just keep me entertained for a few hours but I really thought I was doing something. I was probably all of 6 years old at the time lol

I spent a lot of time sitting and playing on top and inside the old cellar. We used to keep the home canned foods in it when I was a kid. Now it just sits sits empty. I have it in my to do list to clean it up and build a new door. Maybe some day it will hold my home canned foods

Just look at that face! Edith made a new friend tonight and left us in the dust. She door dashed us and ran off like a wild child. Mike started driving, then I took off driving and poor pregnant Kasey started walking . Finally found her at a neighbor's house playing with a tiny human. She was living her best life while I was over here having a panic attack. She better sleep good tonight.

This big walnut tree has been in the front yard my whole life. Daddy spent so much time outside under it because it had the best shade. It still does today. I feel peace and comfort when sitting in its shade these days. Thinking about my dad and all the memories I have of the times spent under this tree’s shade . tree
